Do you guys think it’s harder to find women to date when you’re an openly bisexual guy?

I’ve been openly bisexual ever since I was 17. My ex gf freaked out when I came out as bi. Ig she really didn’t see herself dating a bi guy. Do you guys find that most straight women are not into bi guys? I won’t necessarily accuse them of biphobia, they’re free to date whoever they want. But is it more challenging for us tho if they have a preference for straight guys?

Do you think there’s animosity between gays and bisexuals? Why?

As a young Gen Z guy, in my experience as a bisexual, I’ve noticed that gay guys and bisexual guys seem to get along very well and be part of the same friend groups. And I’ve had no problems when dating either. But I’ve recently learned that some gays show some distrust or have negative feelings about bisexual guys due to past experiences. And I had no idea abt this.

Do you guys think there could be a generational difference? Has my generation made progress when it comes to that? Is there some resentment going on from both sides?

Have you ever had to come out to your partner as bi? How did they handle it?

My high school gf freaked out when I told her I also liked boys. She cried and basically just saw me as gay from then on. Even though we had sex many times 🫠. Have u had any similar experiences?

Do u think life experiences can contribute to sexuality development?

Both traumatic and non traumatic experiences ig. And when it comes to being bi in this case. I’m asking bc I was slightly bullied in middle school, probably bc I was short and skinny and some classmates and “friends” perceived that as being more feminine. They’d often call me gay. Although I don’t think I ever had gay mannerisms. The bullying eventually stopped as I grew taller and my voice got deeper. However, it was around that time that I started developing same sex attraction. I felt completely straight until I was 13/14.

After being bullied I started questioning and asking “What if?”. I started noticing some of my classmates were hot. Do you guys think there could be a link between these events? Is it possible that being repeatedly called gay by my friends and classmates at 12-13 caused me to become bisexual? (I’m happy with my orientation now btw and things were okay eventually, I stopped talking to them and got new friends not long after that).

Are you telling your kids you’re bi?

So, I was just thinking abt this. I’m not sure abt my future but I think there’s a possibility that I’ll eventually end up with a woman, settle down and have a family. I think many bi guys can relate. In that case do you see yourselves telling your kids that you’re bi or do you think it’s not relevant and will mess with their heads? If yes, at what age is it appropriate for them to know? Ik my partner is gonna know for sure but I’m not sure abt sharing that with the kids lol.
