Does anyone else just feel like the games in a frankly unplayable meta-state right now?

Warning: long ass rant ahead, if you just wanna leave your thoughts feel free to skip over it.

I play zombies, for context. Ever since we've entered the sunshroom era, this game has felt genuinely horrible. You've had this explained before, every solar deck is boosted to hell witb sunshroom, making the meta harsh and unforgiving, leading zombies to play hard meta to even enjoy playing, then cutting out any plant decks outside meta, enforcing it even more and yada yada yada. How has this stayed for so long? Forget me nuts was changed in like.. A week or so, for good reason. Sunshroom is arguable 10x more meta defining frankly, if you don't play crazy or hearty you can just kys I suppose is what sunshroom says. The meta zombie decks.. Still aren't even that strong compared to the competition. Mustache Valk is able to run out of steam kinda easily if the plants are hard removing (they are, btw, any zombie player knows this, every deck is just hard removal after hard removal). Flag swarm with fossilhead and all-star lose pretty easily to card advantage if.. Can you guess? The plant player is hard removing and controlling you! What's every plant deck right now? Hard. Removal. Hard. Control. Now, even IF your opponent is merciful, plant cards right now have formed what I like to dub the "time limit" meta. Basically, every meta hero has some form of what might as well be exodia depending on the zombies deck. The main ISSUE though, is that every plant deck.. has MULTIPLE exodia win cons! Handled that gravitree? Phew.. Anyways, wallnut bowling for 18 damage. Been playing perfectly but opponent survived at all until they have 10 sun? Well fuck, hope you have EXACTLY either mug or black hole, otherwise whoops, 30 damage split between 3 bonus attacks. Mug is TERRIBLE in this meta too btw, grave removal is plentiful because neptuna gargolith tempo turned on 3 neurons in the wallnights brain. Then, because of this, zombies are forced to become predictable, as they need to rush out a win before the timer clocks down. Which means it's insanely easy to just control out a win through card advantage with cross pollination, another strong card the plants got for some reason. The meta is HARD locked right now with zombies in the losing position, and I'm frankly kind of sick of it. I used to fuck around pre-sun-hell with garg feast decks, not even brainstorm ones I was running boogaloo feet, it was fun and I actually could climb pretty well, I was and still am pretty good at the deck. I've tried to adapt it, adding in zombot or octo, etc.. but.. Now? Turn 3 brainana, turn 4 dragon. Turn 4 wall nut bowling. If the opponent ever has 10 sun you lose. Draw bungee or DIE. I purely run meta slop now just to enjoy the game and I'm about 50/50 win loss ratio even still, I've been playing this game for years on years now and I genuinely just wanna drop it because its unbearable and boring.

But.. What yall think? Skill issue or mental hospital? I'm hoping the janitor wakes up because otherwise this game might just start rotting otherwise in such an unfun state. If garg feet is factually unplayable (not viable, playable in any capacity), maybe it's a sign somethings up

[Discussion] Viability of "Hit me" joker

Every time I look at it I feel like it'd have potential, but every time I run it I don't feel like it does much of anything. It isn't clear if it means every hit you'll gain the effect, or once you're hit you heal 10 over 20 seconds, then after that it can activate again. What is everyone's thoughts on it though? I personally can see the vision, but with a max of 1 especially, meaning each hit you heal 10hp over 20 seconds, I just haven't managed it personally

Anyone else genuinely hate those damn beehives in the woodlands

It genuinely just feels unneeded, games hard enough I don't need bees that if I'm not constantly 360ing my vision even in fights to spot hives, which I think still deploy the bee legion when you pop them, will 100 to 0 me in a matter of seconds. The games chaotic nature means you often take like 50 damage cause you just don't see them or cant dodge in time. Also the fact they just kill you during downtime is a personal thing for me it's fine but it grinds my gears

Vox engines kind of suck, even aside spawn quantities, and I'm tired of thinking otherwise

Vox engines genuinely make the automatons feel horrible to play unless you're running exact build. The main thing I wanna bring up though is their cannons, the rest is vent yapping. So, I went on the wiki, because after shooting a single cannon a billion times with the mounted autocannon turret.. I thought it had a different armor pen. Turns out, no, they do not have ap 20, they instead have over 4x (8x if the wiki means each turret individually has the listed hp count) of the factory striders turret! It has 2 of them as well as 2 mounted machine guns. Why? You basically can't realistically kill the turrets ever, and it's such a waste I think shooting down a leviathan with the big iron would be a better use of my time. Why basically nullify this aspect of gameplay? Yes, you can get close and they dont shoot when the code functions, but also if the answer to something in the automaton factions is get closer you're gonna have your head blown clean off by any robot in a 20 meter radius, and the cyborgs exclusive to the same region of the vox engines designed to punt you and kill you with a shotgun will bum rush you until you die.

The rest of this is rant mostly, so skip over if you please. But.. why, the fuck, are vox engines just big war striders. Now, granted, they have ONE weakness, being their vents and subsequent insta kill nade-hole-ussy.. But that's it. For one, this weakness kind of sucks, get behind it while either 200 robots or another vox engine guns you down, then manage to get in a clean explosive into it. Is it cool? Damn right its fucking cool, but it's so unreliable I almost am never able to go for it. What other weaknesses does it have?... uh.. nothing! Yup, it has nothing! Sound familiar??? You'd think shooting the literal pilot would kill it but nope thats a bug it isn't meant to be a weakpoint at all!! This monster survives an orbital railcannon too, like you'd ever even BRING one because 5 spawn every 2 seconds. You can't really disarm it either, the mortars are hidden if it's facing you (it's always gonna be facing you cause it's trying to kill you), I already explained the turrets issue, and the machine guns.. are fine, they pop off sorta easily, but are still kind of silly. Tldr: it has ONE actual weakpoint that's unreliable at best and completely impossible at worst, its weapons are untouchable basically, it can kill in seconds from any angle, it constantly bombards the entire battlefield with ragdoll explosives, can survive a railcannon strike.. and at least 2 or 3 are everywhere you look.

I used to be a bugdiver purist, I hated the automatons when I played at launch.. But I grew to love them. I always have a great time playing them, but shit like mr.war strider but he has the fucking 7 chaos emeralds and went ultra instinct ruin all the fun of the faction. I can't bring fun builds I like, because it doesn't pass the vox engines arbitrary bs. As a lover of botdiving.. it pains me to say that the bot front is not fun with vox engines around. I wont be participating in the latest side order, and I encourage you all to as well, for those still playing. Save yourself the headache..

Seriously I hope you guys can see what I mean calling these guys just big war striders but with a g spot (g stands for grenade).
