For those suddenly forced to verify their humanity via palm scans, mobile app downloads, or mushroom stamps, what browser do you use?

I use Windows 11 Brave which recently leveled up their anti-fingerprinting by blocking websites from extracting metrics from your GPU via various browser APIs. Now that Twatter are all but entirely denied access to biometric data for their telemetry, seems they're fighting back with even more aggressive measures.

Musk is turning X into Facebook with its surveillance bullshit. I am simply not having any of it and refuse to install their app.

I am NOT doing this

Tried logging in via web browser today and am required to scan a QR code with my phone. After confirming with Grok that this does not collect any biometric data from me in and of itself, I scanned it and opened it on my phone using my phone's data connection. It then told me I need to install the app. Fuck that. I am not installing their surveillance software on my phone.

What's the big deal? It's just a social media platform. Why all the high security? I guess this is the end. A soft permaban. "You're not allowed to enter this establishment unless you give us a blood sample. We're not saying you can't enter, but we just need a blood sample first." Yeah, no. You won't get it. Bye.

Edit: It only does it on my PREMIUM account, not my free alt account. How does that make any sense? They already have my payment info on my Premium account. This is so stupid. I hate this company more than anything in the world.

This is also on the heels of several "inauthentic behavior" bans last week and also after Brave tightened up their anti-fingerprinting by blocking collection of GPU metrics via various browser APIs.

I wonder if these inauthentic bans are part of an attack where accounts are being reported as "inauthentic" via the forms page

If you go to https://help.x.com/en/forms, you will see:

Report impersonation of a person or brand, and potential platform manipulation or spam.

I wonder if this could be used to mass report accounts to get them taken down.

This "under the hood" feature is just going to be another thing that never gets fully released

Feedback for what? It just shows you the flags on your account that are impacting your visibility. What feedback are they expecting? Just release it to everyone now. There is no need to "collect feedback". When I get it, my feedback will be, "Remove these stupid-ass labels from my account". Honestly, this platform is so stupid.

Expect the "inauthentic behaviors" bans to intensify if you use Brave

tldr: Brave have implemented more aggressive anti-fingerprinting measures by farbling the data a website is able to collect from your GPU via the WebGL and WebGPU APIs in your browser. This makes it even more difficult to build identity/device profiles on you.

Brave already has the most aggressive anti-tracking and anti-fingerprinting as it is, but this is going to send websites into a tizzy if they're tracking you via your GPU signatures.

X is hosed beyond help. My "inauthentic behavior" ban was REINSTATED the day after my appeal was approved

Posted this yesterday after they accepted my appeal:

Not even 24 hours later, I am suspended again for "inauthentic behaviors". All I did was post an innocuous, non-political, non-violative comment on a post about the Steam game console. It was a dumb shitpost, but started getting a few likes and then bam... suspended.

Went to file an appeal again. After I submitted my appeal message and solved the arkos challenge, I get a message that "my previous case is still in the queue". Huh??

Add onto the fact that keeps saying "Your Premium subscription is expiring!" in the upper-right corner of the page when I am paid up through June 2027.

Elon is a useless, inept, oblivious clod. He has no idea that any of this is happening. Duder can launch rockets into space, put cars into orbit around Earth for lulz, build state-of-the-art AI and electric vehicles, but can't manage a social media platform.

holy sh*** it worked. my account was restored after an inauthentic behavior ban

update: what the FUCK i am suspended again. this is STUPID. i didn't even do anything out of ordinary. posted a comment, it started getting a couple likes, and now i am suspended again. and the reason? if you guessed "inauthentic behaviors", you would be... CORRECT. wth man

and i submitted my appeal this morning and i already got this email saying it was restored. the one i submitted days ago didn't actually go through due to issues with cloudflare and arkos. this time, i signed in on android web through my data connection in an incognito brave tab (i do like to hide as much as i can). told them something like, "i am not engaging in inauthentic behavior. i use brave and a vpn. i want back my premium+ account that i paid a year in advance for. you can't just take my money and deny me service when i did nothing wrong". i was a little snappy and i like to think that it helped

i haven't logged back in yet, but i will later, though i am afraid they will suspend me again as soon as i saunter back in swingin' my dick around like i am king shit because i feel like big man on campus right now loll

this is absolute bullshit. i paid for premium for a year and am now banned two months into my annual. i don't care that i agreed that "they can do whatever they want with my account". something has to be done about this. i want to see a massive class-action lawsuit against this garbage pile of a company. look at the wording of the suspension email:

"Violating our rules against inauthentic behaviors.   You may not use our services to engage in inauthentic activity that undermines the integrity of X.   Note that if you attempt to evade a suspension by creating new accounts, we will suspend your new accounts. If you wish to appeal this suspension, please contact our support team."

they act like i was trying to hack into their servers and steal company secrets. i am literally just using the platform like a normal person. they won't even give you a prorated refund. they literally STEAL your money. fuck that. what a clownshow elon has turn this platform into

anyone know if a high-res scan of this mer de noms band photo exists or paz solo?

i've searched far and wide and can find nothing but photos of the album on ebay and the like. in my searches, i've found that there are like zero high-res pics of paz lenchantin from back in the apc days. everything is low-res or crusty in some way.
