Nachdem ich meine Seiko Alpinist (noch die alte Version SPB121J1) längere Zeit nicht getragen habe und ich mich ehrlich gesagt an dem originalen Band sattgesehen habe, wurde es nun Zeit für etwas neues.

Ich habe mir entsprechend beiläufig ein anderes Band bei AliExpress (bitte nicht steinigen…) mitgenommen, in einem helleren Brauntom, und es heute morgen gewechselt. Mir gefällt der Farbton auf den ersten Blick sehr gut. Was meint ihr?

I finally finished my very first watch and honestly I feel so happy about it. It’s been tough at some point, but I think the result really stands out. The following were my personal challenges:

1. My custom logo:
   As you can see, the logo is not quite centered. I tried to put it onto the dial by eyeballing which didn’t work out. Anyways, for my very first build, I can live with that.

2. The seconds hand:
   This nearly pushed me to give up the project. After over 4 hours of trying, it finally went into place. I still can’t describe the feeling I had :)

3. The stem:
   This was probably the step I underestimated the most. I destroyed the very first one when trying to screw the crown on the shaft with my pliers (it was cut to the perfect length…). The second one was cut way too short and the third one finally was on point.

I can’t wait to wear it tomorrow and I even got a nickname for it: “Sunset Brew”. I’m already looking forward to my next project :)

I am planning to start building my own watches, and came up already with ideas for roughly 5 watches. However I decided now that this specific one will my first build. The hands will be changed to a cathedral style and I am thinking to swap the date wheel to arabic-indian numbers, just like the dial.

Since it‘s not too long until Forza Horizon 6 is playable, I decided to get back 10 years into the franchise and man, does this game look nice. I remember it being my very first Forza title, so it will always have a very special place in my heart…

While tidying up my photo gallery, I found some pictures that I took over time. Guess I’ll just dump them here😁

I need support about verifying my identity. After multiple attempts to verify with my identity card, aswell as wuth my drivers license I always got a message that the was an issue and that I should retry (NFC scan and photo).

I decided to uninstall and reinstall the app, since then this message (Something went wrong. Please try again later) appears when even choosing the method of verification.

What can I do to solve that problem?

These were the most intersting building techniques that I have seen in quite some time in a Lego set. The entire structure is aslo wuite heavy for its size. Can‘t wait to put Hamilton‘s helmet together🤩
