I finally ended my 3.9-year relationship today

I honestly don't know how to feel. I don't really have anyone to talk to about this, so I'm just putting it here.

For almost four years, I kept hoping that one day he would love me the way I loved him. I always made him my priority, and I never really wanted anything huge from him. I just wanted to feel loved. I wanted him to ask how I was, how my day went, or just genuinely want to talk to me.

Then in April, I found out he cheated on me. I was completely shattered. I got so badly affected by it, but somehow I still chose to forgive him. I even travelled all the way to Patna because a part of me still believed we could fix things.

But things never really changed.

Eventually, he told me he had already given up and was only talking to me out of formality and responsibility. I don't think he knows how much those words broke me.

I cried. I begged. I kept telling him that all I wanted was his love. And today, after all of that, I finally decided to let him go.

The weirdest and hardest part is that I still love him.

I'm not leaving because I stopped loving him. I'm leaving because I'm tired of begging for something that should never have needed to be begged for.

Almost four years don't just disappear overnight. I know I'm going to miss him. I know there will be moments when I'll want to go back and question everything.

But maybe this is me finally accepting that I can't keep waiting for someone to choose me.

So yeah... today, I finally stopped waiting.

Just want to disappear into a fictional world 😅

Can anyone suggest me a good novel or anything to read? I just want to distract myself for a while.

Feeling really heavy lately and I just want to get lost in a fictional world where I don't have to think about real life for a few hours.

Preferably something immersive fantasy, mystery, thriller, anything that can completely take my mind somewhere else.

Please give me your best recommendations. 🥲📖

Indian Parents: “You Look So Happy” 😭

Being in an Indian family is like crying all night, waking up with a heavy heart and a headache, and still putting on a smiling face in the morning.

You give your 100% to make everyone believe you're okay, and somehow, they don't even notice that you're not.

I don't know why, but the days when I'm hurting the most are often the exact days my parents think I'm extremely happy.

Sometimes I wonder how good I've become at hiding what I feel.

Is it me ??

Does anyone else feel like when their love life is good, they’ve already won half the battles in life? 😭

I’m not aimless or dependent, but when I feel genuinely loved, understood, and secure, I suddenly feel like I can achieve anything. Like, “I have my person, now bring me the rest of the problems.” 😂❤️

Is it just me?

Has anyone else had a roommate who completely ruined their reputation?

my first year of college, I was just minding my own business, but my roommate made me her target. She spread rumors that I had "no character" and would sleep with anyone. She also told people that I didn't deserve my boyfriend and that he was only with me for physical reasons.

The worst part was a professor who was behaving in a creepy and inappropriate way toward me. His behavior made me extremely uncomfortable, and I cried for months because of it. But instead of supporting me, my roommate spread a rumor that I was having an affair with that professor.

Because of her lies, people judged me without ever knowing the truth or hearing
