Cozy Corner!

I got inspo from someone elses version on here actually. I loved the colours so wanted to do a similar palette! (So if that was you, thank you and hope you don't mind)

I opted to not do any shading on this one. I might add to it to see how it goes but I'm actually enjoying the simplicity of just colouring without worrying about shading or adding anything extra. Anyone else like that? Or am I just lazy😂

Slick back hair help?

So!
I genuinely thought with the slick back look being in atm that this would be my time to shine. However I just don't know how everyone is doing it? What products are we using, hows best to do it?

I saw a tiktok of someone using like a hair mask to slick it back and I thought wooh great! I tried it and spent the entire day with crispy greasy looking hair and half of it just ended up flopping down and it looked a mess🥲😭

How are my fellow thin&fine peeps doing it?

How soon is too soon to move up bands?

I've been in the NHS now for about 18 months in the same department. I was a Band 3 for a year, now I'm Band 4. Have been B4 for about 6 since January.

A Band 6 (again in the same department) is about to come up. I keep toying with the idea of at least trying. My experience in the department obviously totals up to around 18 months. But my time in my current band has only been a few months.

Is even thinking about moving up (and especially skipping a band) 6 months into a new role a ridiculous idea? I don't really have anyone else to ask. I don't want to make myself look stupid for thinking about but also, if this a normal timeline for progression then I'd definitely like to try I guess🤷🏼‍♀️

How to come back from a bad lesson?

I've had around 20 hours of lessons now. Things have really ramped up the last few weeks with doing things but honestly I am fumbling very basic things now. Braking and clutching I'm really struggling with. Basic left/right junctions etc. I can smash it on dual carriageways, joining slip rounds, fast multi-lane roundabouts. Even my maneuvers are great. Nailed Parallel parking on the first try. I understand the logic in all of those things. But speeds, braking, clutching and timings on simple junctions and turns... I just 🤯. Can't understand.

I feel really deflated today. My test is the end of September and I can't even brake and clutch at the right time at a simple junction. My instructor is very patient and nice but even I can tell hes getting flustered having to say the same thing over and over. The things I should have been learning from the first/second lessons.

How do you come back from deflation? Today just wasn't my day for the basic things. It doesn't help I've now got a month off due to his holiday and then mine. So I'll be overthinking all month now.

Apologies in advance for the filthy mirror😭 Dusty af home renovations are kicking my arse and I thought I might as well focus on something I absolutely cannot change in any way which is my body🎉🤯😂

As you can see, my middle area is... An issue. I have no idea how to dress it. I would LOVE to wear this type of fitted dress (I would never go out in this btw, just wore it to show you all better) but the hips especially just stick out like a sore thumb.

Anyone have this sort of body type and know how you dress it? I get so down when I see people in lovely figure hugging dresses and know my hips do not infact lie😂🎉😅 I've tried those underwear things that suck you in but even they can't compete with the hips!😭

Thank you in advance🌸🤍
