I occasionally see this when a Canadian gives their opinion on American politics or wjen Canada is mentioned. Stuff like "you're Canadian", saying that Canada is a reactionary state, saying it should be annexed by the US, etc

It would surprise a lot of people about how popular Mercenatilism actually was in America even up to the 80s despite the Wealth of Nations being published 250 years ago. Sure, eventually it stopped true Mercantilism after Hoover's defeat but it was very popular for a long time.

The Federalists (and their leader Alexander Hamilton) advocated for a strong authoritarian federal government, high tariffs, infrastructure ,and a central bank. Despite getting the Constitution the Jeffersonians ultimately won up until Abraham Lincoln who brought it back in full force. The Democrats were the Party of Free Trade and the Republicans the party of the Tariff.

From 1860 to 1932 Mercantilism was the dominant economic system (now called Hamiltonianism) with a few key exceptions like Cleveland and Wilson.

But after the defeat of Hoover Republicans started favoring a smaller governent (though that really started with Coolidge). They started to dislike a central bank and eventually absorbed libertarian tendencies (also Libertarians don't understand American history). They eventually nominated Goldwater who supported free trade, modern conservatives are Jeffersonians despite the Federalists neing the conservatives of the day. Goldwater flopped but his ideals were revived by Reagan and here we are now.

Honestly, just going through the pocket guide and Redguard they genuinely are the good guys. They're an alliance of the Altmer, Maormer, the Bosmer, the Khajiit, the Reachmen, and potentially the Redguards if not for Tiber Septim. Like I can't name a negative thing about them that isn't propaganda.

So I have two jobs, a minimum wage job and I'm also a writer, I self publish stuff on Amazon and other platforms. Nothing impressive mind you, just enough to get a decent passive income stream going. I publish about 5 novellas a month (if I'm really creative, most of the time it's 1-2).

So like when I tell people I'm a writer they get really excited, but like it's not fantasy or science fiction. It's porn, erotica. I write "Dark Romance". I only chose that because it's a big genre and women are the biggest consumers of literature. Mostly fetish stuff too. But I also do horror stuff as well which is my real passion.

Is what I'm doing weird? I don't like doing it, deeply humiliating actually and I prefer writing horror but romance brings in more income.

If you talk to Ulfric about the way of the voice he'll explain the rules don't really apply to Dragonborn though they have always tried to teach it to dragonborn (though always failing).

Last night I watched Last Man on Earth (plan to read the book I am Legend soon) with Vincent Prince. I noticed there were some racial themes to it but I'm not sure. It's about a guy named Robert Morgan (Neville in the book). He is the Last Man on Earth after everyone else has been turned into a vampire.

I watched Toy Story 1, laughed and had a great time.

I think I might read What is to be done by V.I Lenin

Free and open software is possibly the most revolutionary thing you can do in modern day.

For example instead of Windows I recommend Linux. Instead of Microsoft Office use Libreoffice. Instead of Chrome use Librefox.

Basically if you are using proprietary software look up a foss alternative to it. Also don't use Google, use a different search engine.

So I'm writing this story set in a vampire apocalypse, heavily inspired by stuff like Dawn of the Dead but with vampires instead of zombies.

These vampires are of course supernatural, the classic vampires of Hollywood you know? All the classic strengths and weaknesses. Also they're heavily inspired by the Baali from VTM.

But this is where I'm having trouble. Like I already planned out the start of the apocalypse itself. Because of the secularization of society and the enlightenment the vampires were able to infiltrate the governments of the world without the Church to stop them. Anyway, they started a nuclear war which launched all the nukes in world which would black out the sun.

But like why would vampires do this? They are intelligent creatures after all. My excuse so far (as I'm more focused on writing the actual story) is that the younger vampires took control of vampire society to launch the war.

This was just me reading the Brief History and I just started noticing things.

Tiber Septim- actually an amalgamation of multiple kings like Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, and William the Conqueror. But he especially reminds me of William post conquest with him putting down the aristocracy with Numidium, similar to what King William did

As we all know Tiber Septim's line died out with his grandson and rest of the emperors are descended from his brother (and at some point it converges back with Uriel VII because of the totem and all).

But Tiber Septim as well known does have descendants, probably from bastards and they rule the kingdoms of the Iliac Bay like Gortwog and Gothryd (who are still alive as of Oblivion). So like why didn't his illegitimate children take the throne after Pelagius death, i mean they were acknowledged since they were given land in the Iliac Bay (with the probable exception of Gortwog's ancestor). what about the events of Oblivion, i mean we know the Septims of the Iliac Bay are still alive so why couldn't they just bring over one?

This is not a joke, i'm completely serious. You should always pirate when you can, not only is it good praxis it is just good common sense.
