Sanford on the rise or decline?

Does anyone else find Sanford fascinating? It seems like it was the original “big city” of Central Florida before Orlando took off. Especially with the waterfront and its early role as a transportation hub.

What happened to the town and will it ever be revitalized?

Orlando to 321 beaches

Has anyone made the move from Orlando to Brevard and if so how was your experience?

Specifically interested in Melbourne Beach and Indialantic. How is it for families, schools and getting to know others? Thank you in advance!

I recently took a trip on Sunrail from Orlando to Deland, hoping to explore downtown and Stetson’s campus.

On arrival I was told the shuttle buses from the Deland train station to downtown are no longer operational and a $20+ Uber/Lyft would be my only option.

I’m not sure if Sanford has the same issue (as its station also isn’t downtown) but it kinda defeats the purpose of public rail when you still end up in a car. Rant over.
