Can anyone share with me any common interview questions asked within the adult social care team for the local authority or any topics to brush up on before the interview? Also,how best I can prepare for the interview? Much appreciated
Hi everyone, does anyone have any advice on securing a job or even getting shortlisted? I have tailored my placement experiences to the essential and desirable criteria and I’m just not getting shortlisted. I have a preference for mental health but at this stage I’m just ready for any band 5 post to get experience. I applied for 4 posts and did not get shortlisted for 3 and I have had 1 interview.
It’s such a shame but I feel like in the back of my mind I’m questioning if I will even get a band 5 job. I don’t know if this is across the UK or if it’s just where I am from.

Hi, I am a newly qualified Occupational Therapist who has recently graduated. I am interested in mental health as I had one placement and really enjoyed it. I applied for 3 mental health posts and did not get shortlisted.
Do you think I should broaden my search and apply for physical health posts if there is no mental health posts near me?
Have any Muslim hijabi sisters been getting more stares because of everything that has been happening in the UK when out in public?
I’m not sure if this may be because of the rising Islamophobia and has anyone doing anything in particular to help keep them safe?
