Anyone else excited for the book club? I will be reading / tuning in. Hope it continues

Coming from Montreal to Toronto with my wife for a wedding. We have one afternoon and night to really see the food scene although I lived in Toronto for 5 years between 2018-2023 so I know a lot of the Big Dogs. There’s not a huge “street food”, “grab-n-go”
Culture here in Montreal Altho the food is incredible. Looking for stuff like that in Toronto - a city I love so much

There’s one million posts like this everyday but here goes:

I live in the city and have for 5 years. We mostly cook at home bc I’m the sole income provider.

My wife and toddler daughter are going away for 2 weeks and I want to eat fast, good, and cheap. I’m not picky at all and want to try a variety of different foods.

I work right downtown so nothing is really off limits and I have no obligations so am willing to move around to get something good. Nothing sit-down, nothing touristy, etc etc… just good food. This is supposed to be one of the best food cities in the world.

Excited to hear suggestions. I’ll be in the plateau on Monday running a side hustle so suggestions there would be great.
