Oomairi Koutei

Age: 26

Height: 5’9”

Weight: 175 lbs

Appearance: Very muscular. Sharp facial features with looks to back them up. (Imagine Todo from Jjk but shorter)

Quirk: Muscle Explosion

Description: The holder of this quirk is able to make their muscle cells explode on command.

Function: Once activated, the muscle cells of the holder of this quirk tighten, almost as if they’re flexing, as the electrical signals normally sent to muscles are amplified to extremes that the cells cannot handle. This causes the cells affected to explode similar to that of a bolt of lightning hitting metal.

The holder of this quirk is able to consciously choose how many cells they wish to combust. As a side effect of having this quirk, the holder’s muscle cells are sturdier than the average human’s and are able to regenerate faster. With this, the holder of this quirk is more easily able to build muscle with these advantages.

Personality: Koutei is very positive most of the time. He spends his free time working out and generally lives a good life.

As the brother of my previous designed character, Oomairi Kamehisa, he tries his best to be a good influence on his brother. He maintains a good social life and is a bit of a people pleaser.

Deep down though, he still has the undeniable fear and anxiety that comes with having a self-destructive quirk. He attends the same “Self-Destructive Quirk Support Group” meetings as his brother and tries his best to lift up the people around him.

He’s worked as a manual laborer all his life but has started to be noticed by model agencies due to his supreme muscle structure.

Muscle Explosion

Disclaimer: This idea of mine is very similar to my previous one “Fat Explosion,” but I assure you, it’s different. Also, just because this is an explosion quirk, it is NOT “functionally just bakugo’s quirk” because, how would you feel that your special and unique power that only you have destroys your body irrevocably.

Type: Emitter

Oomairi Kamehisa

Age: 26

Height: 5’8”

Weight: 262 lbs

Appearance: A full head of black hair in a bowl cut. Bangs slightly covering eyes. Imagine a typical shut-in and that’s basically him. Dark eyes.

Quirk: Fat Explosion

Description: The holder of this quirk is able to produce an explosion from the fat cells accumulated in their body.

Function: The holder’s fat cells are changed so that the triglycerides, that hold most of the stored energy, are able to store more energy in the form of extremely pure potassium ions. With higher fat levels in the holder’s body, commonly associated with obesity, the potassium ions are isolated in fat cells and form into pure potassium.

Once the quirk is activated, water molecules are moved to the pure potassium reserves and then cause an explosion of varying levels. The size of the explosion is completely dependent on how much intent the user has in using their quirk.

Personality: Kamehisa is a massive pessimist. He always finds the bad in a situation. He acts how you’d expect a NEET to.

Kamehisa has had to deal with the fear that his quirk comes with since he was a child, it was the reason he gave up on life and started being pessimistic. The only time he leaves his apartment is when he goes to his “Self-Destructive Quirk Support Group.” He is extremely depressed and even takes antidepressants that don’t help him much.

He works from home as a programmer for a media company. He doesn’t interact with many people from his work if he can help it. The only people he really has any connection with are the people in his support group.

How do we feel about self-destructive quirks?

Title. The MHA world is massive, maybe bigger than reality. Who’s to say that some quirks can’t be self-destructive?

By “self-destructive” I mean that by using the quirk, it somehow hurts or destroys the holders body. Kinda like cancer, it’s a part of the holder but it harms them when they use it.

I really like the idea of a character using their quirk for either good or evil and actively destroying their body by doing so. Let me know what you guys think and share some ideas if you’re interested!

It all seems so Trivial.

At its core, this post is supposed to be a telling of stories of sorts. I am not sure what I’ll write by the end of it but I hope it helps.

Context: I am a 15 year old male living in the state of Texas in the United States. I was diagnosed as being on the spectrum for autism when I was 7. I’ve been feeling depressed since I was 5 and my parents got divorced.

I live for myself. I live to be better than those who killer themselves. I live out of spite, not literally of course.

I’ve felt depression for 10 years. Silently. Then I met good people. Then I faced struggles. Then I smartened up. Then I felt grateful for the people around me. I educated myself on many different tribes of people. I learned how many different people there are out there. And I saw only one thing.

A simple solution.

I saw a simple solution to everything, not one big solution. Everyone needs someone to listen to them sometimes. And they need help to move forward. It’s that simple. “Help them.”

But people aren’t so kind. It’s unfortunate but I choose to be an exception. Whether to be a saint or a self-absorbed monster, I choose to help others. And I urge others to do the same. Be kind and the world will fix itself.

I say to anyone who is struggling, find something to cling to. If you can’t find something, find someone. If you can’t find someone, find somewhere. If you can’t find somewhere, cling to yourself. Life is so much more simple than you’d think. Live for yourself so you can say that you’re better than the rest.

You can only remember the past. You can feel the present. You can see the future. If you are at the bottom of the well, you need to climb up. Someone is waiting for you. Maybe a family member, a friend, a lover, anyone. Someone is waiting in the future for you. If no one is, then it’s me for as long as I live.

There is so much beauty in the world. Art inspires so much in me, creativity. Music lifts my spirits. The world makes me happy. Find your happiness. Cling to it for dear life.

If you hate yourself. I’m right with you. I despise myself. I live to spite myself. To be better than the urge to end it all.

Life isn’t pretty so you just need to be better than life.

All of it is so trivial, isn’t it?
