Georgie Is a Legend !!

okay i’ve been thinking about this a lot but the older i get the more i realize georgie was the ultimate MVP of the entire show.

remember in the early seasons when the whole family treated him like the dumb older brother who just failed classes and played football?? meanwhile by the end of the show (and in TBBT) he literally builds a massive tire empire from absolute scratch through pure street smarts and hustle.

like be for real, sheldon had a 187 IQ but couldn’t even read a basic social cue or talk to a human being without throwing a tantrum. meanwhile, georgie at like 17 years old could read a customer's mind in 5 seconds, manage an entire store inventory perfectly, and flip a failing business into a goldmine. his business rizz was actually insane.

but what really breaks my heart is his emotional maturity. when the mandy situation happened, he didn’t just run away or act like a kid. he stayed, grew up overnight, and genuinely tried his hardest to be a good partner and a dad, even when mandy’s family was treating him like garbage. he had to deal with so much adult stress and marital pressure before he was even legally allowed to drink.

and the part that really kills me is how he completely put his own life on hold to become the man of the house. after george died, georgie was the one working 24/7, paying the bills, taking care of a grieving mary, and holding the entire family together while sheldon was off at caltech living his best life. he locked all his own trauma and grief away just to be strong for everyone else.

sheldon got the nobel prize but georgie had the ultimate character arc and nobody can change my mind. book smarts vs street smarts is so real and georgie won down.

he deserved so much better than being clowned on for 7 seasons straight ngl. thoughts??

QUERIES ON MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IN BPHC

Hey guys,

Looking for some genuine insights from seniors (or pass-outs) regarding Mechanical Engineering at the Hyderabad campus. I’m heavily considering taking it, but I have a few major doubts before I lock it in.

How is the department actually? Are the professors chill or do they make life a living hell with grading? Also, what’s the general college life like for a mech student? Is it just constant lab reports or do you actually get time to breathe and enjoy the campus? are people too strict with attendance and all that? can we skip classes if we dont feel they are necessary?

If my Class 11th/12th mechanics concepts are kind of mid, am I walking into a trap? Do the college courses build you up from the basics, or do they expect you to be an absolute god at rotational motion from day one? Like im not too bad with the concepts but sometimes struggle in a few of them

What’s the real scene with placements? I know the core market in India can be tough, but do a lot of mech guys safely pivot to IT/Finance/Non-core roles? How many companies actually allow mech students to sit for tech roles? Also, is there a massive branch hierarchy on campus where CS/Phoenix folks look down on lower branches, or is the peer group generally inclusive and supportive?

Would love to hear some unfiltered thoughts. Thanks in advance!
