GF F/52 wants to split off with me M/55 at end of 2-week vacation to see friend

TLDR - I believe when a couple travels together - they stay together for the entire trip. GF wants to split off to visit a friend and have us fly home separately.

Me M/55 and girlfriend F/52 have been together for 4 months.

We are planning our first couple-only romantic trip to Italy for later this year. While trying to plan dates, she mentioned that her best friend, with whom she already travels with quite a bit, wants to meet up in Sweden for a few days for a concert while her friend (and her friend's friend) is in Scandinavia for a month. This would mean us parting ways in Italy while she flies up to Sweden and I return to the US separately.

If we fly in together, we leave together - this is a couple's trip... not a trip involving friends. Her friend lives several hours away so its not like they'll never see each other again. They've already traveled twice together this year and have another short trip coming up in 2 months. This would be for a concert on a specific date and we'd either have to plan around that date or my GF would not be able to go - and would have to pay her friend back for the concert ticket that was purchased without my GF making firm travel plans.

Flying back alone wouldn't be the end of the world for me, but it would create resentment.

I don't want this to be a problem for us as she's the independent type. But on the other hand, the needs of the relationship need to be prioritized too. What is the best way for me to handle expressing being left behind in Europe while my girlfriend travels to Sweden?

Bret and Demi

What's the deal with Bret? He's like 15-25 years older than the rest of the cast and looks so out of place. And Demi? She may as well be called Dummi - you can tell she's not the coldest beer in the fridge.
