Haven't touched ITR2 since the beta 1.0 dropped with the terrible story, has it been reworked yet?

I made a post a while back expressing my dissapointment in the update bringing the story to itr2 and completing ending up in disaster, with the one guy who is like super annoying and shakes your hand, and the girl on the intercom thst sounds like a mommy asmr video. Anyways after seeing it turn this direction i completely refused to play it since, it was genuinely infuriating for me to watch it go down that path because ITR as a series has been my comfort game and ive always been interested in the lore... until 1.0 beta, im very late to the party i know.

So long story short, have they fixed the story at all? Or did they ignore the subreddits cries for change?

Do you think we will ever come together and be united like this again?

This is so sad to see this was 16 years ago, the valve community was united like this, portal, tf2 and half life all co existing, obviously time runs its course and all but even the newer generation of people, will we all come together like this again? Especially after HL3 comes out.

The current situation with Half- Life 3 (HLX)

HLX IS NOT CANCELLED, THEY ARE REDOING A PORTION OF IT.

The newest insider leak that came out with the new tyler mcdicker video claims that HLX will no longer be a flagship game for the steam machine, and rather that now, they are pulling a half life alyx, they are reworking aspects of the game.

​

Similar to in half life alyx, they took the game last minute and made some major story changes, resulting in a few months delay. This is the same thing happening to hlx currently.

Everyone knows hl3 was gonna drop with the steam machine but now after our only unfortunate news insider dropped his new video i guess we arent getting hl3 when the steam machine drops?

Valve needs to announce Half Life 3 at an event

I think valve not wanting to reveal Half-Life 3 at a big event is stupid, not only are they robbing us of what would be one of the wildest croud/streamer reactions but also one of the wildest memories.

Not only does that not mean an in person suprise reaction but also who the fuck is gonna have their camera recording when they casually open their phone and see "Hl3 announcement trailer" its just gonna be very VERY underwhelming.

Also screw geoff for baiting everyone to watch his live with "hopium" and also screw tyler for being a complete doomer when he thinks hes a realist, what a buzzkill.

I usually run it naked cause i have gear fear, but damn, scavs are straight bullet sponges, lol

Also if you gear to the teeth for soemrhing like tunnels fuck you, your a chud.

Texture Quality downgrade? between my version of the game and others.

This is contractors exfilzone PCVR OCULUS My textures in the game look midway decent (despite the wall), but whenever i see pcvr videos of other people playing, it always tends to look more crisp and better in detail.

I double checked my graphics settings and they are on all high. I even checked my actual monitor to see if there is a streaming difference (hence youtubers screen recording) and i dont notice anything different.

One thing i have noticed in the past is the OCULUS PCVR crossbuy ports of games such as (boneworks or bonelab) tend to feel different in graphics terms for some odd reason, but only slightly. Is there anything different i can change?
