Bear with me here… my company plan just changed from John Hancock to Voya. Since we weren’t given a choice of what fund our liquidated assets would go into (just an “age based fund”) and I’m nearing retirement, I moved 100% of my investments out of John Hancock into a rollover IRA and just continued with normal payroll 401k deductions. I then directed all future 401k deposits (2 pay periods) to go into a Stable Value fund at JH with the idea that I would reallocate after the plan provider change. The final value on the date the JH account was closed was $4,462.44.

I received the ToA confirmation into Voya, and the transfer in was $4,281.09 into their “Fixed Account B”lol, what happened to $181.35? I apparently lost 4.06% between JH and Voya? The confirm says it “represents the gain or loss accrued from the last statement date to the date of transfer shown on the confirmation”. But 4% of what is ostensibly the safest investment option Voya has? Its asset class is “Stability of Principal”.

What am I missing here?

Usually, at this stage a President is out campaigning on all the wins his party has delivered for his Party. Instead, Trump is campaigning on voter suppression, increasing tariffs (taxes on everyday Americans), lies about the economy, and giving Saudi Arabia, the home of the 9/11 terrorists nuclear technology.

This doesn’t seem like a winning message.

If the auction is on Thursday, do I need to submit my order by Close Wednesday? Or will it accept orders on Thursday before the auction?

I just don’t get it. I guess it’s the difference between one income and two? My water bill without watering the lawn is about $210/quarter now. Just me. No kids. I stopped watering the lawn 2 years ago when the summer quarterly bill got up to $500 (yes, I know. I can go monthly. It’s still $500). My curb and front yard look like sheet right now, as I work to transition to no water landscaping; and I’m sure my neighbors gossip viciously about it. Around me, everyone is gearing up to shower those lawns with water all summer. Me, no way. It’s like throwing money down the sewer.
