Prefect Da'Gara of the Praetorite Vong as described in the novel Star Wars New Jedi Order: Vector Prime. Art by MrAlexios at my request.

>!Da'Gara was a male Yuuzhan Vong who served as a Prefect of the Praetorite Vong, the vanguard that established a foothold in the galaxy. During the invasion, he commanded a Koros-Strohna worldship. Da'Gara's agent Yomin Carr ensured that no one witnessed the Koros-Strohna's arrival at the planet Helska IV by incapacitating the scientists at the nearby planet of Belkadan, allowing Da'Gara to construct a forward operating base on Helska in secret.!<

>!However, Danni Quee and other scientists, escaped and soon found the base. As Da'Gara's forces moved to attack the scientist's shuttle, Quee attempted to escape, forcing the Vong to shoot down her vessel, ultimately crashing on Helska. As Carr deemed her a worthy opponent, Da'Gara treated her with respect and did not kill her dishonorably, instead seeking to sacrifice her to the Praetorite Vong's yammosk, a creature that telepathically coordinated Da'Gara's forces. After New Republic starfighters engaged Yuuzhan Vong yorik-et starfighters over the planet, the New Republic force suffered heavy losses and withdrew. Following the attack, Da'Gara destroyed the nearby planet of Sernpidal by using a creature that manipulated gravity to pull one of its moons into the planet, as he believed that Sernpidal was the largest threat to his forces.!<

>!With Sernpidal utterly destroyed, the yammosk dispatched four battle groups to pursue a refugee convoy that had fled the planet's destruction, and a larger New Republic task force attacked Da'Gara's base. The yammosk and the prefect joined their minds and led their forces, with the former using its telepathic abilities to coordinate many yorik-et fighters during the battle. However, the New Republic's shieldships used the Helska system's sun's energy to evaporate Helska IV's icy surface by directing the star's energy at the planet, rapidly causing a climate shift with devastating effects on the ice world, killing Da'Gara and wiping out the Praetorite Vong.!<

>!Ib Dekeet was a human male who served in the Galactic Empire as a powerful Regional Governor stationed in the Outer Rim Territories. Due to his immense political and military influence in the region, Dekeet was one of four dignitaries invited to join the Pentastar Talks in 4 ABY aboard the Super Star Destroyer Reaper by Grand Moff Ardus Kaine.!<

>!Dekeet was initially hesitant to join forces with Kaine and was the most belligerent one of the dignitaries invited to the talks. However, Kaine's impressive skills as an orator paired with his logic gradually won the Governor over. One of the main points of contention for Dekeet was emblazoning the Pentastar Alignment logo onto all vessels, vehicles and troops under their command. Dekeet found this idea to be unnecessary as he thought the logo to be ridiculous when compared with already established symbols of Imperial authority. Kaine countered that with the fragmenting of the Empire, the Alignment would not have a monopoly on those symbols and that the logo would strike fear as well as command respect by presenting a united front indicating to any that an attack on one of the Alignment's members was an attack on all that would be answered accordingly with overwhelming force. This argument by the Grand Moff placated Dekeet enough to agree to the badges, though begrudgingly.!<

>!Dekeet served alongside Elta Besk, Gregor Raquoran and Wyn Otro as the leadership in the Chamber of Order under the Alignment's head of state in Kaine. The group kept the Alignment in a policy of isolationism until the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn in 9 ABY and his campaign convinced them to reluctantly support his efforts in limited capacities. When Thrawn perished, Kaine had wanted to return to isolationism, but the Reborn Emperor compelled Kaine to go on the offensive in 10 ABY. However, Kaine was lured into a trap and assassinated by forces of Ennix Devian disguised as Grand Admiral Octavian Grant and the New Republic.!<

>!After Kaine's death and the final defeat of the Reborn Emperor in the same year, the Alignment withdrew to its borders having lost much in the failed offensives and civil war. Dekeet became the primary military leader within the Alignment, but due to squabbling among the other founders, an official head of state to replace Kaine could not be agreed upon, leading to tense and largely ineffective rule by committee. The Chamber of Order returned the Alignment to its policy of isolationism and rearmament, though the corporate heads continually prioritized their own profits over actual military defense, which increasingly fell to Dekeet and bred resentment in both the military and public domains of the Alignment. The policy of isolation would continue for another two years until Dekeet was approached by Admiral Gilad Pellaeon in 12 ABY with an offer to rejoin the Empire with all his assets intact and a return to traditional Imperial governance.!<

>!Tired of sharing power with the corporate heads, and knowing that Pellaeon would nationalize the corporations-removing their political power from their control-while at the same time increasing the power of the Moffs and Regional Governors like himself, Dekeet accepted the offer with the cheeky comment that the Pentastar Alignment logo could finally be removed from his forces. Against the futile protests of Besk, Raquoran and Otro, Dekeet turned over the Pentastar Patrol and the Reaper to Pellaeon. Lacking the support of the military or public, the corporate heads reluctantly surrendered control to Pellaeon and the Moff Council, while Dekeet kept his own holdings.!<

>!My personal favorite scene from The Unifying Force, where, horrified and outraged by the realization of the Supreme Overlord has gone mad and is attempting to destroy his own species to spite 'the Gods' Nom Anor rejects the Elite, rips off his attendant robes of office, dons the tattered tunic of a slain Shamed One and reveals himself with a fierce scream to rally the Shamed Ones into open revolt against their oppressors, *"I am Yu'Shaa, the Prophet! Our hour is at hand! I will lead you to victory!"*!<

Victor Strang was a human male served in the Imperial Navy and Storm commandos. Prior to the Battle of Yavin, Strang rose through the ranks of the Storm Commandos to lead multiple teams in covert operations. At some point after the Battle of Yavin, Strang was transferred to the Imperial Navy and given command of a prototype superlaser-equipped Star Destroyer named the Conqueror to oversee its combat effectiveness.

The Rebel Alliance soon learned of the project and used Renegade Squadron led by Col Serra to successfully infiltrate the Conqueror in the Mustafar system in 1 ABY. After a difficult battle, Strang and his storm commandos were defeated with the Admiral being badly wounded by the Renegades, who proceeded to place thermal detonators on the ship's reactor core. The detonators were triggered and the ship was destroyed, but before the explosion an X4 Gunship was able to escape from the Conqueror. One of the Renegades speculated that this ship may have been carrying the wounded Strang. Strang's fate after the loss of such an important project is unknown, but unlikely to have been favorable as Imperial commanders in similar failures were often demoted severely at best and executed at worst.

Krieg was a male Zabrak who joined the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire. Managing to rise to the rank of Fleet Admiral, Krieg became one of the rare aliens in the Empire to reach a high rank, despite the severe anti alien prejudice in the regime. His flagship was an Interdictor Cruiser and he was stationed at Kachirho on Kashyyyk under Grand Admiral Pecatti Syn and Moff Hindane Darcc during the Galactic Civil War.

Sometime between 1 and 4 ABY, Krieg employed a pro-Imperial spacer to carry out several missions on Kashyyyk, the escort of an AT-ST, the defense of Kachirho from a Rebel strike force, and the relief of two scout troopers deep within Kkowir Forest. Krieg would eventually lose command of the Spacer's services as the individual was requisitioned for service by Darth Vader, who sent the spacer higher priority missions, but Krieg remained on Kashyyyk.

In 4 ABY, Krieg's interdictors would fall victim to sabotage from Bothan spies masquerading as agents of High Admiral Treuten Teradoc's Greater Maldrood. With his interdictors sabotaged, they were unable to use their jamming functions to interfere with Rebel missile and torpedo attacks, leading to the death of Grand Admiral Syn when his flagship was immolated by crossfire and proton torpedoes. With Syn's death and Krieg's helplessness, the Imperial fleet above Kashyyyk was destroyed by Admiral Ackbar's New Republic Navy group. Krieg's fate is unknown, but he likely did not survive the battle.
