Question for the people who have had a full open surgery ?

How long was it until you can walk normally and comfortable again ? Its day 6 now and I’m home but getting up and down is torture, stables just hurt like hell too , the worse but is where the drain was inserted, but I know that it will all pay off eventually and surgery was needed (I was lucky as surgeon said I had a nasty abscess forming) also started to poo again too but it’s quite watery at the moment !

So morning after the surgery ….

Pain is pretty bad but only with movement but im on fentanyl so it’s keeping the pain in check …. Also didn’t need a bag which was amazing news . Terrified to eat now tho because the first bowel movement is gonna be hard

Currently in hospital thr night before my surgery and the bowel prep is horrific ! And I have to wake at 6 am for an enema before I go to surgery at 8 am! I will be glad when this is all over
