I was under the impression that Sx instinct in enneagram was focused on meaning, intensity, that kind of thing, but i’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately on the r/enneagram subreddit that seem to suggest it’s about literal sex drive.

before anyone says anything, i’m aware that many of the typology subs on this site are notoriously misinformed, and that misinformation mutates. in fact, one of the most recent mentions of this supposed literal sexual instinct was from a self proclaimed “INFJ Sx 8w9”, so clearly they aren’t the most reliable.

however, it does make me wonder, because those aren’t necessarily the only two possible interpretations here. both might be flawed, or maybe i’m wrong about them being wrong and this is one of the two times a broken clock ends up being right.

anyway i just need some clarity on instincts, so any advice would be appreciated.

i’ve been having various discussions with people about different things over the past few months, and my father has come up several times. i didn’t know him very well, but based on the details i’ve been given he seems like he was some kind of incredibly unhealthy xSFP with a lot of unhealthy sp5 traits and some kind of mental health issue(s).

i’d rather not go into detail on what leads me to believe this but if you guys want me to i can.

i still have to get ahold of some of naranjo’s writing but in the meantime i’m curious how you guys figure what does or doesn’t fit what and why. does it just become clear when you read the literature, or is there a specific thing on just that? do you go by statistics or mechanics? would you say that combos like an enfp 5 or istj 7 would be impossible or just incredibly unlikely?
i’m not looking to argue or anything, just wondering is all

Fortunately I have a trump card to fall back on in situations like these, a famous Socrates quote:
“If the big tiddy anime goth muscle mommy asmr is your power, what are you without it?”

Little did he realize, he misinterpreted what an “asshole genie” was, so the genie ended up making himself pregnant with the femboy’s (whose name was Tanner by the way) child, so that he’d have to become a father, but much to the genie’s dismay Tanner actually grew quite attached to his son (Wolphred), and they genuinely enjoyed their time together, and the genie realized that he was wrong about femboys and they aren’t just male nymphomaniacs but in fact regular guys who just want to express more femininely, and as such they’ll often have typical human desires and aspirations and hobbies, such as starting a family, and it was at that moment that the asshole genie realized that he misinterpreted his own title too and was just a closed-minded bigot, which was really unfortunate since his last master made a wish to “get rid of closed-minded bigotry” and he fulfilled this by making anyone who fit that descriptor fade out of existence, leaving Tanner a widower and Wolphred half-fatherless.
