Have you put bronze wheels on a gray or silver GX and didn't like it later??

TLDR: I need new tires before winter and I want to get some new 17" wheels to go with some 265/70R17 tires. I'm mostly looking at TRD and Method wheels. I'm torn between going conservative with black or gray, or going the other direction with bronze. I've mostly thought bronze looked best on black, white, red and blue vehicles and the gray/silver family should stick with black, gray or chrome.

My wife thinks the bronze pops more and would have the GX stand out. My conservative nature is unsure about what to do LOL

I appreciate any constuctive thoughts!!

Are the bloody four drawer carts always this out of square??!

It took a lot of fighting to get the lip of the box over the legs. The better-ish end has the handle in and I think we’ll be ok there. However this side is so out of square that even with my adult son pushing the side in and me holding the cart and trying to push the bolt we couldn’t get it through. We were still about 1/8” from being able to drive the bolt home.

Is this normal and I should just get out the vice grips and step bit or should I reach out to their customer service?

I had to order this the last time they went on sale, so FedEx may have bounced it.

Thanks for any feedback!

Anyone go M12 instead of M18 for drivers or impacts and regret it later?

A couple of years ago I grabbed the M18 1/2 impact and some sockets on a great deal from HD.

Currently I need a new 1/4 driver and want a new 3/8 compact impact. I thought HD may have some kind of great sale this weekend, but I haven’t seen it yet.

I’ve been looking into the M12 lineup and it seems pretty popular and I don’t find many complaints about torque, but do see a few about length of battery charge.

The 3/8 would be almost exclusively for DIY vehicle work on our fleet of Toyota cars and trucks. I’m really missing not having a 1/4 because I used that on all kinds of stuff around the house.

I just don’t want to buy M12 3/8 or 1/4 and hate the battery life on the 1/4 or find out the 3/8 can’t remove stuck caliber bolts.

Thanks for any feedback ahead of time!

Magni, Asgard X or Jotunheim 3 and DAC for FPS gaming and music??

I've enjoyed and followed Schiit for years. For some time I had a Heresy and earlier Modi on my desk and for reasons I can't exactly remember all my better gear ended up in the hands of my kids LOL.

I've been using IEMs the last few years and found that I really enjoy the neutral sound and comfortable fit of the Aful 5+2 with some Spinfit tips. I've got them plugged into a Truthear DAC that I think I paid $75-ish for. I plugged the Afuls into my son's Magni/Modi combination and they sounded so much better. The little Truthear DAC also can't push my high impedance cans to their fullest, so I'm wanting to upgrade now and keep this gear on my own desk!!

I enjoyed the Heresy in FPS game because it was rather dry and didn't blow out the bass when things went boom. However, if I remember correctly, it wasn't very "musical" on some tracks. I also appreciate that the Heresy was an op-amp and never turned into a toaster. Obviously I need something with literally a zero noise floor, which I expect from all Schiit products, but my Beyerdynamics are 600 ohms so I need something with some good power.

I've been making lists for against the current Magni and Asgard X. Every so often I consider the Jotunheim 3 for "future proofing" reasons I guess, but I'm not sure if I need/want to get into balanced lines or not. I frankly don't understand how the internal workings are different or better for balanced other than two different channels to produce the sound.

Musically I literally listen to everything from modern country, to classic rap and even some rock and pop. I stream through Apple Music and have a few thousand FLAC files of my favorite songs and albums.

If anyone has a strong case for or against the Magni, Asgard X or Jotunheim 3 I would love to hear it! I'm also all ears if you want to make a case against or for the Mesh DAC or the Modi/Mimir.

My budget is flexible, but if I made a Mimir and Jotunheim hole in our checking account I'd have to do some quick dancing with the wife LOL

Thanks for any insights ahead of time!!

Best mileage so far!

I put in gas and drove directly onto the interstate for about three hours of driving. Best MPG I’ve had by a bunch so far!!!

Is there an authorized site that has “better” deals when buying just the tool?

I need a new 1/4 hex driver. Somehow I’ve already ended with two of M12/M18 chargers and several batteries from other combo deals. I would like the Fuel or Surge, but haven’t seen much in the way of deals for the actual driver over the last couple of holiday weekends.

I feel like I got pretty good deals from HD the last couple of times, but I just don’t need another charger and they don’t have a combo that would make sense for me right now. So I’m just looking for the best deal on the tool.

Thanks did any advice ahead of time!

What is the "Goldilocks zone" for tire model, size and suspension for your daily GX that sees snow and weekend warrior duty?

Howdy all!

I bought my 2019 GX460 in December and have loved it! It came with Michelin Latitude tires that will need to be replaced before winter comes again in Ohio and I have really been looking into larger tires with different wheels and what lifts pair best with what size tires.

Initially I thought I'd just build a "TRD GX460" with 265/70r17 tires on some well priced TRD wheels. Then add a mid level lift from Bilstein, Eibach, King or someone down the road.

After doing some research it appears 265/70R17 will probably rub during some daily driving and can definately rub during off-road driving. My issue is I really don't want to do inner fender sculpting and won't do a BMC. I may be missing out, but I stick with Toyota products for their reliability and durability and I'm not ready for that kind of modding on a daily driven truck.

I'm also looking at 275/65r18 as those are slightly smaller and it seems have "almost" no rubbing if you buy the right model.

I live in Ohio and work for the Post Office. I have to go to work during bad weather. The GX did great in January with 18 inches of unplowed snow, but the Latitudes were out matched. We've also had her off-road on rained out, muddy, messy camping access roads and "gravel-ish" trails and those tires just weren't made for that. I've been looking at reviews for Falken Wildpeak AT4s, Cooper Discoverer AT and several models from Nitto. Any real world feed back would be very appreciated.

I'd like to buy the tires and wheels this year and upgrade the suspension next year. If I spend that much on the GX at one time there will be financial war with my wife and I simply can never win that LOL!! So I need a combo that won't rub on a stock setup for a while. Even lifted I'm primarily considering the Bilstean 6112 coilovers with 5160 struts out back. I really just want to level her out and be better behaved on the mild to moderate trails we have to access, nothing "hardcore" right now. I'll probably upgrade to the Dirt King UCAs while I'm doing the wrenching, but that would be about it.

I appreciate any constructive feedback! I'm new to this platform. I know there is a combo tire/wheel size and ideal lift that will look cool in the parking lot at work, drive great for commuting and be substantially better in the snow and off-road while not rubbing, but I'm struggling to figure out exactly what that combo is.

Thanks ahead of time!
