I've been running a Schiit Stack for years with a Mani and a Loki Mini.

It does get hot - just took delivery of some further components, wondering what the best way to deal with heat is, and if my proposed stack has any issues.

I'm now running:

Schiit Sys

Schiit Mani 2

Schiit Loki Mini

Schiit Buf

Signal chain runs:

Turntable -> Mani -> Sys -> Loki -> Buf.

Intending to stack it in the same order. Should I be splitting them into two stacks of two instead? or would all 4 being in one stack (on top of my TT PSU) be fine?

The Val 3 is probably the best tube amp outside of the Kilobuck range, and even then includes tech that a lot of OTL amps are missing. Using the impedance multiplier to compensate for the low efficiency, I don’t even need the highest gain mode.

I’m using a Qudelix 5K as the DAC, outputting 2Vrms, no EQ. I’ve verified with the Midgard below that I’m not ‘missing’ any sound, and the Val 3 is pushing enough to satisfy the He6.

The fit and finish are premium as well; a hefty unit with solid switches, and a wonderful volume knob. A pleasure to use, to look at, and to own.
