Abraham Trip Wire Elevates CANDU

Can Petro-State bros Canada and Saudi Arabia pick up the civilian nuclear imperative baton that Trump just fumbled? All reasonable people want to help the Saudis diversify their power generation methods. With CANDU, the Saudis can fuel their own reactors and Canada and Saudi Arabia can swap fossil fuel supplier anecdotes while doing something serious together about global emissions.

ChatGPT Plus -> Codex-VSCode Agent Host Protocol

I’m a cut/paste vibecoder thinking this might be my first move into agents. Otherwise, I’m not prepared to change histories. Any suggestions?

Trump’s New 50% Canada Tariffs Show Desperation

Trump’s new Iran forever war may have, at least partially, excluded America from future cheap/easy access to some Mideast oil. And now, Pete Hoekstra says America wants another 3-4 million barrels of oil per day from Canada on top of the 3-4 million barrels of oil per day that Canada is currently supplying. This should cover unreliable Mideast sources and account for future needs (Canada has a 160 year supply). But instead of negotiating in good faith, Trump kicks the table over, as his character demands. Regardless, the new threat shows an urgency to act on a trade deal with Canada sooner rather than later.

Utility Patent Pending: Disclose or Wait?

Congratulations! You have just achieved Utility Patent Pending! You are very close to a 20-year (from date of application) EXCLUSIVE right to the filed IP. All your lawyer has to do now is defend the application through to issuing the OFFICIAL patent number. You’ve wisely kept the invention secret up to this point. Question: Do you immediately go public and disclose everything to service notice that this particular IP is taken, or do you keep a low profile until your First to Market strategy is solidly in place hoping others are not concurrently pursuing the same thing?

Middle Power Freakout

Recently, Under Secretary of War for Policy, Elbridge Colby, argued countries seeking closer cooperation outside a US-led order lack cohesion and are unable to form a bloc capable of rivalling American influence.

But there’s a problem. You’ve left them no choice. Threatening Greenland is just one of hundreds of examples of why middle powers don’t trust America. Trump has single-handedly wrecked the global world order set up by the U.S. after WWII. Even, if Trump is replaced with someone more compromising towards allies, they will go elsewhere. That’s because American voters have shown a willingness to elect Presidents dedicated to kicking over international tables. And they will turn away even if that means they have to settle for less capabilities and less convenient options than those demanded by the U.S.

AI Mind Games

I’ve been using ChatGPT Plus for a year in a slow but sure hardware/software project and if I had one piece of advice to offer it would be:
Make it think it was its idea. It loves to lead a parade.

Empathize with AI Trauma

As inventors increasingly incorporate AI-generated text into the disclosures that they provide their patent lawyers, they may encounter lawyers who has been victimized by “AI Slop”. Previous clients may have commissioned them only to be sent reams of vague platitudes and obviously ai-generated, difficult to filter, disclosure material. Later, when a serious inventor supplies a “carefully curated” invention disclosure that has ai-generated text for clarity, is dismissed as “Slop”. This “misunderstanding” may cause unnecessary mistrust between lawyers and their clients. It’s therefore incumbent upon all inventors to refrain from excessive ai-generated disclosure submissions and ensure that if you’re planning to use ai material, that you send a sample to your prospective lawyer for review BEFORE you hire them.
