Video I made discussing why the Monarchs need to be brought back
I know the video itself totally sucks, but it’s the message that matters

I made a post a while back expressing desire in transferring, but am now having second thoughts. I took a leave of absence after a rough first semester. I was focused on making up for my high school experience instead of bettering myself academically, and it destroyed me. There were days where I literally couldn’t get out of bed.
Now we reach the present. I initially had planned to transfer to a smaller school, but after my offer was rescinded I have considered starting over again at rit with a new major. During my leave of absence, I have gotten the help I needed and believe that rit might be a good place for me.
I am looking for advice from anyone who returned to campus after taking a leave of absence, and how the adjusted to the return
As many of you probably know by now, we’ve gotten many books that have a plot of “the heffleys go on vacation and everything goes wrong.” And each time one is put out, people find themselves asking “why another vacation?”
It all started with book 9. Now, you guys can deny this all you want, but the fact of the matter is that when the long haul first came out, everyone loved it. People were literally going as far as to call it the best book in the series. This whole idea that the fan base has always despised it and considered it “the book that killed the series” is simply not true.
“But the movie-“
The long haul got a film adaptation because of how well the book was received. Sure, nobody asked for it or wanted it, but it absolutely made sense why it got a film adaptation. Also side note, but did anyone ACTUALLY go to theater to watch it when it came out? I obviously remember the memes and people saying it looked bad, but I don’t recall anyone actually watching it. I to this day have never seen it and don’t plan on watching it, but I have read plot summaries and from what I’ve read, it sounds like the movie wasn’t even faithful to the book, so saying the movie devalues the book doesn’t seem right.
“But it introduced the pig-“
Yes, it did do that, but at least in this book the pig is actually funny and I personally believe could’ve worked as a one-off character.
“But we got several more variations of it”
We got more vacation stories BECAUSE of how well received the long haul was at the time it was released. When double down came out, it was widely disliked by the fanbase, and is still widely considered to be the worst book in the series, so it made sense at the time that it was being followed up with another vacation story. People liked the long haul, so why not do it again.
Granted, I think the Deep End is not a good book in the slightest, and I never read hot mess so I wouldn’t know what to say for that.
TL:DR
Jeff keeps doing the vacation storyline because he’s hoping the series will be acclaimed like the long haul was at the time of release
I started a channel a few months ago and have built my subscriber count to a 3 digit number, but it seems that most of my content is stuck at a few hundred views each. I’m trying to go for the 2010s style content of unedited, unfiltered rants and opinions, as well as just stories of my life. I’m looking for tips to try and help my content expand to a larger audience.
