How about a round of “what episode does that line I slipped into real life come from?” 😂

Can you guess the episode I lifted it from?

At work today, I got some questionable information from someone in the morning, then some information to contradict it in the afternoon. My teammate came to show me the contradictory info and said “what do you think he meant?” (The guy who’d given the info earlier.) And I said…

“We’ll just call the gentleman and find out!”

Episode it came from? Line immediately preceding and following for bonus points! 😉

Hearkening back to our Girl Dinner roots tonight…

…with the classics! That’s aioli and “Bloody Mary ketchup” with the fries. And a crisp Sancerre. Perfect.

I’m a little drunk and my boyfriend has ruined my life

ETA: I am not driving drunk and never would. This is earlier today.

Dinner is an egg custard snow ball with marshmallow because idgaf.

So three months ago my boyfriend told me he doesn’t wanna live together anymore. My boyfriend of three years I should say. And since then it’s been a FUCKING MESS. He does not want to sleep with me, he finds literally any excuse not to, and I don’t really think he likes me very much. I’m hurt all the fucking time. Like I do not know what I am doing here anymore. If I cry it “turns him off” and by the way for the majority of our relationship he’s chosen his hand over me the majority of the time. I’m so fucking hurt it’s not even funny anymore. Any time I’m even remotely upset he tells me not to talk to him. I am so hurt all the goddamn time that it’s untenable.

Help me. Tell me it’s okay to leave when my own boyfriend doesn’t like me. This is such shit. I’m amazing. I’m smart. I’m beautiful. I am successful. Why am I hanging on to this when I could be loved the way I deserve? When I could have sex with someone who wants me? When I could be someone’s number one and not someone’s backup plan because they cannot commit to anything? Give me some of the strength you ladies have in reserves. Because I fucking need it right now. In spades.

Kimbap (Korean tofu & vegetable seaweed rice roll) fried in egg made a fabulous lunch - I know soy sauce is not traditional but it was good!

As long as we are smearing cookies with delicious stuff, I present: Lemon Curd with Belgian Cookies Butter Almond Thins!

Great combination. I bet the berry lemon curd would be even better with the almond flavor of the cookies but this is excellent!

Salt & Straw’s Cheesecake with Salted Yuzu Curd is for citrus lovers!

Ooh this one’s good! As a huge lemon everything fan (bars, pie, curd, cake, you name it) I fell in love with this one! Yes I know yuzu isn’t lemon, but the citrusy punch is similar! I was worried the cheesecake aspect would be too heavy but it’s really just lovely and rich with a slight tang. The little pockets of yuzu curd are plentiful and delicious! They combine perfectly with the base as you eat it.

I thought nothing could top their more autumnal flavors for me, but this one gave them a run for their money! Delicious. I’ll be back there soon.

Which is the superior vehicle for Everything & the Elote Dip: Cornbread Crisps or Organic Elote Corn Chip Dippers? (Drumroll, please…)

…it’s the Elote Corn Chip Dippers that came out on top! Their seasoning really brings out the milder flavors in the dip itself. Cornbread Crisps were still a nice choice, just a lot more subtle. The dip needs the extra kick, I think. Delicious combo - highly recommend!

The cornbread crisps are phenomenal with a spicy Armenian eggplant spread I had…

…which leads me to believe they’d also be good with the TJ’s labneh dip or their eggplant and tomato in a can situation! I wish I bought more than one bag! Lesson learned…
