Tipping

I know someone already made a post about this, but it really is quite ludicrous in a place as expensive as the lakes district. Being asked to tip after paying 8 bucks for a coffee is crazy stuff. They know NZ doesn't have a tipping culture but still try and prey on tourists that probably assume tipping is normal in NZ too. F*arkkk offf

Passing of a staff member

So i'm having a rant on reddit because i cbf speaking to anyone else. Do you think it's kinda messed up for a company to not call work off for the day after the death of colleague. There hasn't really been an official company wide annoucement or anything just an email to our department. We knew he was sick with a chronic illness but it was still a shock it just feels so fucking insensitive.

Hey folks, i'm coming up to Queenstown from Winton for a few days and trying to keep costs down, what are some things you can do around town or nearby that are basically free but still fun?

Cheers.

New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) Open Polytechnic

Hey, has anyone ever done this course from Open Polytechnic, was the course quality good and how would you rate it's difficulty and workload? Thinking of doing it part time alongside my final year of university next year to broaden my options when i graduate just in case I can't find IT work.

Thanks.

Nvidia stocks buy now or wait?

So im new investing and over the past day or so, ive been thinking of buying a a few shares in Nvidia to see what happens. Probably about $1000 worth. Do you still have confidence in Nvidia or will it flatten out over the rest of the year? Im looking for a mid term gain. 6m-1yr

FYI, I am pretty responsible with my money and am not treating it as gambling. I just want to see what will happen.
