I finally got my 26 Kona Sport, but why do I feel ick about it.

So I did it, I finally got my 2026 Kona (only 15 miles on it)! I should be celebrating but my experience at the dealership was so weird I feel uneasy about it. I went knowing that I could get a SE, but was hoping to get a good deal on a Sport SEL. I did a ton of research and I knew what to expect, but the dealership kept lying to me. Is this normal?

When we 1st were looking at the Kona Sports on the lot he came over and we were talking and he started talking about the light bar and said all models had the light all the way across. We actually got into a little heated back and forth cause I knew it wasn't true. He said I was looking at last yrs models cause all the 26's fully light up. He said he had been working at hyundai for 10 yrs and knew what he was talking about. Later as we were making the deal and waiting i showed my husband online that I was right it didnt light up all the way, he came out and got ... weird about it.

Later i changed the car cause i wanted the black interior and he pulled up a car that had the silver door plates with blue "kona" logos on them and he said that they light up at night. I looked closer and it was obviously a metal sticker with no lights attached. I told him that and he said he ment the blue writing was glow in the dark. I knew that was a lie immediately and just said yeah i dont think it does. Spoiler it does NOT glow in the dark or light up.

Then after we bought the car he made a really quick statement about the car having myq garage, and we have one at home for our other car so i didn't think much of it, except when i spent 20 mins trying to set it up today only to realize he lied about that too. (There were other features he lied about which i knew about but you get the picture). It just kinda ruined my experience on getting the car.

Why would a sales guy lie about features the car doesn't have? Wouldn't it make more sense to put me in a premium trim and show me the features and up sell me. Why keep telling me the sport has features it doesn't?

I'm happy to have my Kona Sport and i'm happy I did research before going, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Part of me wants to return it just to tell the guy the car has none of the features he said it did.

TL;DR:

the sales guy lied about features the Kona Sport SEL does not have. I knew he was lying because I research the car before I went. But it left a bad taste in my mouth. One side of me loves the car and wants to keep it. The other side wants to return it just because he lied.

Any love for SEL or SE?

I'm planning on getting a 2026 Kona on Tuesday and while I am excited, I'm starting to learn that all the Kona features i was excited to have only come on the N or limited or premium. I can truly get a SE but was gonna try to push for a deal on a SEL. But i starting to notice very few people post about those trims

Do people with the SE or SEL feel satisfied or do you miss out on the features you dont have. Im starting to second guess myself .. i guess cause i want the good stuff i cant afford. The ambiance lighting, park assist, the front light bar. Honestly that was what sold me on the car to begin with. Please convince me the sel is still worth it.

EDIT: i did it! I got the SEL Sport with the convince package! Only a few sweet hours in. I loved it so much more in person. I am sad about not having the full front light bar but it wasnt really worth the price. The parking assist well.. i wont know what i'm missing since i nvr had it to begin with. Lol

Falling in love with this game again, years later

I'm on my 3rd ish playthrough of this game but this is the 1st time it really clicked for me. I should say tho that i've never finished the game..yet. The 1st time i started it on a og switch i waited forever and i was so disappointed with the quality after seeing so many game play clips. The castle seemed empty and boring and load times were annoying. Then i played on steamdeck and it was better but not by much. But last week i got a ps5 pro and the game was on sale for $10 so i bought it again for the 3rd time and now its clicking. This game is so beautiful! I cant stop just stopping in my steps and looking at stuff. I'm officially the furthest I've ever got playing it, it just turned winter. I didnt even realize there were seasons in the game cause i never got that far. But now i'm hooked. The visual quality makes such a difference in this game for me.

Anyone else's nparent embarrass them at the doctor's office

Just a rant

My nmom is so dramatic at the doctor's office its embarrassing. Shes getting older and sometimes i need to take her to the doctor's for random stuff and i hate it. Today she's getting a colonoscopy as a basic check up and she acting like its open heart surgery. Being super dramatic as if she's the only one who matters when everyone in this office is getting the exact same thing as her. The nurses are getting an attitude with her and i cant even blame them she's being so annoying getting loud and fake crying over nothing, throwing tantrums. Other patients looking at us. Its so humiliating. Idk how to keep dealing with this as she gets older. Anyone else have to deal with this?
