My previous pump got decimated while playing at an amusement park.(my pants pocket was too big for the pump to stay secure)
A week later, I received the replacement pump & set it up in the evening
About an hour ago, I disabled the temp basal & resumed the pumping to dose for my dinner and I got “insert BG to continue in SmartGuard” which I did then it started working.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
I have factory reset my laptop due to performance issues running AC after deleting some files to save space.
Now every time I wanna save my controls this shows up. I tried to search for the initial directory file but I couldn’t find it
EDIT: problem solved
In my first 2 weeks of using the pump I have always changed the infusion set & reservoir on the 3rd day even if it has a lot of insulin left (>100u).
Now, my insulin needs has increased significantly, especially with the use of SmartGuard, and I’m unsure if the insulin pens will be enough till my next appointment.
All the filled reservoirs have been kept in the fridge since and I’m unsure if it’s still effective or safe to use

I’ve only had 1 out of 5 sensors last 7 days whereas the rest failed at 1-1.5 days remaining
I’ve contacted consumer support and they said: “it’s okay for the sensor to fail on the seventh day before expiration so we won’t be replacing it, but those witch failed on the sixth day and beyond will be replaced.” Then got my sensor replaced, now pending the delivery guy’s response.
I live in the Middle East where temperatures reach 45C+ in summer and I saw a TikTok post of someone saying it’s best to put the sensor in the fridge, then put it out 30 mins to reach room temperature before installing.
Is this true? What other ways to make it last for its full time period? (The Guardian 4 is the only available sensor in the hospital)

Was checking the pump for something and noticed there’s some air bubbles (?) in the tubing
I’ve noticed it before but did not really care about it at first but since it kept happening, should I do something about it? Does it affect the insulin absorption significantly?
every time I fill/refill the reservoir I plunge out most of the air bubbles
The infusion set is on for 2 days and everything is working as intended
I pre-bouls 5-10 mins before the meal
I have a dozen boxes of insulin (NovoRapid) that have reached/ is reaching its expiration date.
I have filled the reservoir with a 1 month “expired” insulin 3 days ago and it works just as fine but I’m afraid that over time, with fluctuating heat cycles, it’ll not be as effective or even clog the tubing/ cannula.
I know the date of expiration of insulin does not really matter as long as it’s stored properly but is using it will cause me more harm than good? And will it damage the pump over time?
