I really enjoyed my time with ES1 but I played the demo of ES2 and it didn't really pull me in. If I liked ES1, is getting part 2 a no brainer being it's so heavily discounted on the ps store right now? Also, I'm not big on puzzles and I've read the puzzles in ES2 can be a bit much. Is that accurate?
I've tried all the tips posted here and have come close to beating him twice but I'm ready to give up and move on. I'm trying to solo him using a hammer and I've hit a wall. Should I switch to a faster weapon like dual blades? Should I use fire weapons instead of what I'm using now? Is there a specific armor set that would keep me alive a bit longer? I'm desperate for some help. I love MH but this bugger has killed me so many times that going up against him causes anxiety. Are the monsters after Barioth equally as difficult? If so, I may as well move on. Thanks in advance for any help.
To answer a few questions: I'm using Bone armor as I feel its perks fit the hammer well. My palico is using the Baan weapon I believe. I'm using a hammer with sleep as it's element but was considering trying fire or poison. I am using traps as much as I can but I was caught without them the 2 times I came close to finishing him.
Edit: So after breaking his arms and face, the bastard tricked me and went to go sleep. I thought I had him so I setup a trap but nope, he was bluffing and he woke up and killed me. I'm sure the neighbourhood heard me scream at that point. I think I need to play around with different armor sets to see what can keep me alive longer. I've watched numerous videos on beating this fucker and they make it look so easy. I'm feeling pretty defeated though.
I have POV installed on 2 devices and in both cases, POV doesn't mark viewed content as watched about 75% of the time. Does this happen for anyone else or is there a setting I should tinker with the increase the chances of marking content as viewed?
I'm just starting out with Iceborne and I'm stuck trying to solo Barioth. My preferred weapon is a hammer and I'm still using the defender hammer from the base game. Is there a better hammer I should try to make for early MR that would help?
I've read some tips regarding how to try to slow the bugger down which I'll try but I can't help but to think I need a better hammer.
