41, Solid work history with 4 years plus in each post. Can't even get an interview.

I don't know if it's just because there are so few jobs and so many applicants at my level (mid ish management, operations/logistics) but I can't even land an interview. I've applied for lots of other different roles and different levels too, not even a sniff.

This is honestly horrific, I've never ever gone more than a few weeks without having a load of interviews lined up... It's been four months lol.

This is triggered off of the back of a rejection from a Civil Service job, which are not no effort to apply for let me tell you. No feedback, no nothing just no interview for a position I am eminently qualified for.

I can't believe it's only Monday

This is shit. Hurry up week, I've never been more excited to spend a Saturday night in a travelodge near Milton Keynes in my entire life.

I moaned we didn't get Box Park the last couple of times, but now we have I can't believe I wanted to pay £10 to pay £10 for a pint.

Thoughts on opening a small takeaway "Butty Shop"

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to take over a small kitchen (100 square feet) with a serving hatch in an industrial northern town.

The rent is very cheap and I was looking to keep it simple with your standard greasy spoon breakfast takeaways (maybe the odd breakfast wrap) and sandwiches for lunch. Coffees etc.

It's small enough so that I could run it myself. It would basically only need to turn over £80 a day for me to make it feel worthwhile and I honestly cannot imagine a scenario where that would be impossible to hit. That amount wouldn't be sustainable for the rest of my life of couse but for now it would be absolutely fine.

It's in a decent footfall area in a town centre location. Fixed bills are £450 and budgeting £250-350 a month for electricity based on operating 7-2 Mon-Sat.

Fit out costs would be IRO 5k (it's really small and I don't need much equipment).

Would appreciate any thoughts on this! The goal would be to target price. There's a sandwich shop in my home town I'm essentially modelling the pricing on (and would likely be a little cheaper than that).

Would appreciate any thoughts!

Favourite chants?

We all know legendary loan players leaving feels like your partner has left you, but the worst thing for me is that next season I probably wont be able to sing this to the tune of Spirit in the Sky.

He’s our winger he’s our number 9(teen).
He hates the bastards in the blue and white (scum).
He’s on loan from Brighton On Sea
AND HE GOES BY THE NAME OF DUBERRY.

20 odd thousand singing spirit in the sky is a lot of fun.

Granted we could have come up with something better than letting those lot down the road know we think about them but still….

What are your clubs favourite chants at the minute?

PS. Some debate on if it’s Brighton on sea or Brighton FC.

[task] need a series of images created (collating various indiviual images of sound equipment in to one image]

Hi all,

Pretty simple task.

I run a PA hire business and am having a website redesign. As part of this I need individual componants collated into one single image. I'll provide some examples.

One kit I offer might be a corporate hire package which consists of 2 x 12 inch speakers on stands, a mixing desk and two mics. Now good images of each of those items are all available but I need them to be collated in to one image.

I will provide a full list of equipment and combinations I need to be made.

For example I might say I want you combine this list of equipment, the first is Box Pro Achat Band Set and you'd find this image...

https://ibb.co/CKnQpntN.

The list would the contain other items and you would find pictures of the other items to create something that looks like this...

https://ibb.co/fB4LkFX.

All of the images would need to be uniform size and look very professional.

Please drop me a message if you're interested in this task.

Please *do not* message me without submitting bid on this thread and you absolutely *must* provide a price for this service.

There will be in the region of 30 images to create in total with the number of individal products you need to find images for ranging from 4 to 10. A lot of the items will repeat. There are maybe 30 items in total.

I need help with website design/hosting

Hi all, I was wondering how much I can expect to pay for a website? I don’t need it to be particularly flashy. Just clean and elegant with here’s what we do and then sub sections of what we do with pictures and a price list. I don’t actually need to sell anything on the site as I am service/hire and take payment by bank transfer in advance. Could anyone recommend some options for this for me please? I’m pretty good with hardware but when it comes to design and doing this stuff… not so great.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Political refugees welcome in/r/leagueone.

As in any situation like this unfortunately mass swathes of people are displaced. I’d like you all to know that we offer safe haven in /r/leagueone.

Our emperor /u/Zach-Dalt has been known to exist in this dangerous circle however under his leadership /r/leagueone remains a free state with free speech.

Indeed some of your members have already declared themselves for /r/leagueone and are finding it “not as bad as expected”

Hi all,

As per title, me and some friends have been putting on a few gigs in our local town in a small 12m (L) x 6m (W) room above a pub. I have been looking at 2 top and 2 sub configurations.

We were looking at buying our own PA for this and I am hoping you might be able to give us some advise as to what we are looking for?

We will be running everything through a Behringer X AIR XR18. Don't really ever do any metal but some quite heavy rock and it would be nice to have the option for metal.

With that in mind, is it possible to get a PA for this setup for sub £2,000 that isn't too bad?

I have been looking at the Thomann The Box range or the Alto TS412 and TS18s bundles which come in below £2000 and from the reviews I can find these seem to fit the bill?

If anyone could offer any advice for if these might be suitable or suggest other alternatives (UK based) it would be really very appreciated!

Hi all,

Complete beginner here. Our kitchen is quite small and was wondering what kind of shelves could be installed over this radiator? It's just a plasterboard wall with the downstairs toilet on the other side and ideally I'd like a bit of extra space for cups and what not.

Is it OK to attach something to this wall like some shelves or a cupboard?
