Got selected for the MBA program at NIT Hamirpur recently and ngl, after going through a bunch of posts here I'm a little confused 😭. Some people make it sound completely fine while others talk about strict rules, hostel restrictions, admin issues and all sorts of things, so I'm just trying to figure out what the reality is before joining. I'm not coming in with crazy expectations or hoping for some massive package, I just want a decent MBA experience, good exposure, learn something useful, work on my skills and hopefully get a decent placement at the end of it. The thing I'm most curious about is the whole "strict campus" thing that keeps getting mentioned. What does that actually mean on a day-to-day basis? Is it mostly just hostel timings and attendance stuff or are there restrictions that genuinely make student life frustrating? And do MBA students get treated the same way as undergrads when it comes to these rules? I am not a rule breaker by default and spend most of the time in studying or doing something recreational inside the hostel so.... 😅. Would really appreciate hearing from current MBA students, alumni, or anyone who has firsthand experience with the department. Any honest opinions, reality checks, or things you wish you knew before joining would be super helpful. Everyone can reply!
