Sunday instrumental open jam at Goosetown Tavern — every week, all levels, free (full backline provided)
Hey r/denvermusic — every Sunday I host an instrumental open jam at Goosetown Tavern on Colfax (3242 E Colfax), 7:00–10:30 PM. Jazz, funk, blues, deep grooves, all levels, no cover.
How it runs: sign up on the list by the mixing board when you arrive (get there early for a good spot). Sets are 3 songs — there's a recommended songlist for newcomers, or call your own and improvise. You show up, we mix you in with players you've never met, and you spend the night making music with strangers — honestly the best part. Great way to meet other Denver musicians, sharpen your ears comping with new people, and find folks to start something with.
Backline is provided so you can travel light: drums and keys are there, plus guitar amps (Quilter Aviator Cub + Orange RT35) and a Fender Rumble bass amp. Just bring your own axe.
