Model Y AWD - Birmingham Collection 🥳
Frequent (every 30 mins 😂) refreshing of the Tesla app finally paid off just as the delivery section opened up and allowed us to select a date/time.
Soonest date was Thursday 25th, there were earlier slots in the day (from 9am) showing.
Collection from Birmingham. Ordered start of May. Had the VIN a few weeks ago and Reg since Thursday last week when the VCA approval went through.
Wanted to post here for others eagerly waiting their dates and to confirm they’re clearly processing orders over the weekend 😎

First shared back in May to take effect as of today, then this email landed a few moments ago. On one hand I'm pleased but on the other hand annoyed as we'd made a load of changes to reduce token usage in preparation for this change 🫠

Inventory Vehicles (Model Y) Still Subject To Same Registration Delays
There's a brilliant megathread here on the Model Y delays, but I wanted to spin this up separately to avoid any disappointment for anyone else seeing the influx of inventory Premium AWD vehicles appearing on the Tesla website today with "immediate pickup" as an option.
We called Tesla to change our reservation to one that matched our spec only to be told they're subject to the same registration delays!
So false hope and "immediate pickup" is inaccurate.
Back to waiting and refreshing TOST :D
