Considering selling my Steam Deck OLED for a Switch 2

I've always been a fan of Nintendo's games and hardware and mostly bought games there during the switch generation because I love the portability (I travel a lot). However, I was interested in some more demanding games so I decided to get a PS5 and a Steam deck OLED this generation to have both a home console and a portable one.

While I do like both, I gotta admit that I'm missing Nintendo's ecosystem and games. I dont know if its just FOMO but after yesterday's direct, here are a lot of switch 2 games that i am dying to try out (fire emblem, OOT remake, new xenoblade, new Pokemon).

The Steam deck has been great for indies but I also find it very large and not as sleek and portable as my old switch. I really appreciate everything it does with its OLED screen, trackpads, customizability, but man, I find myself missing just picking up my switch and everything working flawlessly. Also, people always make a big deal about steam having cheaper games but from what i can see, they're about the same price when on sale (excluding first parties which are crazy expensive).

I dont have a massive steam library and would be able to play most on my laptop if i absolutely need to. On the other hand, i have a quite large switch library. The PS5 i mostly own to play my Blu Ray library and in the case that theres a super demanding AAA game im interested in, but i vastly prefer handheld gaming.

I do acknowledge the merits of the steam deck, but I'm really interested in the switch 2, and I think having two handhelds would be a bit overkill for me, especially since i dont have that much time to play and would never lug around both of them.

So my question is, has anyone been in a similar situation or can give me some perspective? Should I do it or rather wait for a Switch 2 OLED?

Considering selling either my PS5 or Steam Deck OLED for a Switch 2

I've always been a fan of Nintendo's games and hardware and mostly bought games there during the switch generation because I love the portability (I travel a lot). However, I was interested in some more demanding games so I decided to get a PS5 and a Steam deck OLED this generation to have both a home console and a portable one.

While I do like both, I gotta admit that I'm missing Nintendo's ecosystem and games. I've realized that I'm not actually that interested in most big PS5 releases (really burnt out on AAA open world games), and find myself not playing it that much. Also, aside from GTA 6, there's not really any big exclusives that I'm excited for. In contrast, there are a lot of switch 2 games that i am dying to try out (fire emblem, OOT remake, new xenoblade, new Pokemon).

The Steam deck has been great for indies but I also find it very large and not as portable as my old switch.

I do acknowledge the merits of the steam deck and PS5, but I'm really interested in the switch 2, and I think having three gaming systems may be a bit overkill for me, especially since i dont have much time to play.

So, if you had to choose, which one should I sell? Or is it just the worst idea ever and should I wait to buy one someday?

A cozy game that's not a farming sim

Im looking for a game with a cozy vibe. Not the traditional idea of a "cozy" game (cute graphics, farming crops etc) but rather just something with a certain atmosphere and an intricate world you want to return to.

To give an example, Death Stranding, Animal Well, Dredge and Outer Wilds are what id consider cozy. Even though their worlds can be hostile and they even contain some mild horror elements, there's a consistently cozy feeling that's hard to explain. Also the same with Breath of the Wild and RDR2, where i really just love travelling through the world and enjoying the vibes.

I know this is a vague request but maybe someone can relate and give me some recommendations:)

Chiaki on Steam Deck unable to PS5 connect over long distances

Not sure if this is the right sub, but I hope someone can help me.

Im trying to use remote play on my steam deck via Chiaki and connect to my PS5 over PSN. It works great in my home country, also when i tried it on other networks in a different city. But i'm traveling to a different country, and I simply cannot get it to connect.

It gets through all the "Establishing connection to PS5" and "linking chiaki-ng to console" steps but just freezes on the final "press R1, L1 etc to open stream menu". I know the issue is not the WiFi because it also doesnt work on my hotspot "which it usually does".

Is it simply unable to work over long distances or is there some kind of fix?

I recently finished Clair Obscur and honestly haven't been able to find something to scratch that same itch. Not the same genre, but just something extremely immersive and a world i can get super invested in. It's also been a while since i played an open world game, and I'm trying to decide between these three.

I've heard very mixed things about crimson desert, but the world and exploration genuinely look amazing. I love the idea of a world where i can just do whatever i want, explore every corner and find a bunch of secrets. I've heard it's similar to Breath of the Wild, which is one of my favourite games. That said, Ive also heard the story isn't good, and I'm worried it'll be too overwhelming since i dont have much free time.

Ghost of yotei looks stunning and Ive heard great things about the story, combat and world design. Im usually not the biggest fan of ubisoft-style open world games, but Ive heard that this is one of the best ones.

I absolutely love Death Stranding 1 because if its chill gameplay, atmosphere, soundtrack and world design. Death stranding 2 seems to be right up my alley, but i dont know if im ready for such a dialogue heavy game (really didnt care for the story im the first game).

So, based on this, which one would you recommend?
