A 22-year-old woman with five children is reportedly pregnant again because the family still wants another boy. The case has gone viral and sparked debate about son preference, women’s health, family planning, and population growth.

Repeated pregnancies at such a young age can seriously affect physical and mental health, yet social pressure for male children still exists in many places.

Do you think this is a personal choice, social conditioning, or failure of education and awareness?

Guess the answer

📖 A Question from the Gita Exam on Acharya Prashant App

═════════════

❓Question: Maria says, “I’m done with distractions.”

She deletes all social media apps at night and reinstalls them the next morning “just to check something important.”

What can be said about her situation, and how can she change it?

🇦 She has adopted the right technique to get rid of social media.

🇧 She lacks willpower and needs more discipline.

🇨 Social media can offer useful content, but the intent must be right.

She should begin by reading Acharya Prashant’s articles on loneliness, distraction, and the ego to understand the root of her compulsive social media use.

For deeper clarity, she can then join the Gita Sessions.

🇩 She is balancing control and relaxation effectively.

🇪 Her problem will be solved once she permanently deletes the apps, or better yet, stops using the phone altogether.

This city is a joke!

The crazy rents, property prices, traffic, pollution, dirt everywhere - and still, there are city worshippers who refuse to move from here. Who exactly benefits from living here? The billionaires sitting in their mansions in SOBO?

My query to the AP Framework

Question: I often tend to overthink about 'future'. It ends up draining me. Please suggest something.

Answer: You are confusing two different things. The future does not drain you. Your ego's relationship to the future drains you.

The future is not real. It does not exist. What exists is your ego, right now, manufacturing anxiety about what might happen. The ego reaches forward, grasps at imagined scenarios, and then suffers the friction of trying to control what does not yet exist. That suffering is real. The future is not.

Notice this: when you are actually in the moment that was once "future," you are not suffering about it. You are dealing with what is. The suffering happens only in the ego's forward projection — the Why-ness grammar. "I do this now because I want that result later." The action is never complete. Your life is perpetually deferred.

The draining you feel is not from thinking about the future. It is from the ego's compulsive attempt to secure what cannot be secured — to control an event that has not happened, using a mind that cannot actually reach it.

Stop trying to stop thinking about the future. That is willpower fighting a projection. Instead, catch the moment when the ego reaches forward. See it happening. See that you are manufacturing suffering about something that does not exist. That seeing, without judgment, is enough. The reaching will weaken.

What remains is action arising from I am-ness, not Why-ness. You act because you are here, not because you are trying to engineer a future. Each moment then stands complete in itself.
