Sticking to the theme - Escape from Alcatraz match

Didn't realize I won a trophy in the Escape from Alcatraz match at Richmond (California) this year. The theme of the match was...obviously...Alcatraz prison, with touches like the staff shirts being reminiscent of guard uniforms and competitor shirts resembling the prison's convict outfits.

It shouldn't have caught me off-guard when they handed me my trophy. I hate how kitschy a lot of match trophies are these days, but this one had me laughing. Apparently, they are the authentic tray design.

DWX magwells that can be used with the original grips?

I love the factory grips on my full-size DWX. Are there any magwells that will work with the gun that don't require shorter grips?

Finally broke a part on my CZ pistol. How am I supposed to get a replacement?

With the inane law restricting parts, how are we supposed to source is simple replacement part like a slide stop lever? Finally broke mine on my Shadow 2, but cannot order replacements from Cajun Gun Works or CZ Custom since they won't ship the part (despite there being no law against it).

Anyone have a source for a vendor that won't kowtow to the Kalifornia government?

-----

Issue solved. Shooters Connection will ship parts for a $10 signature fee on top of their normal shipping charge.

High-end 2011 with front sight self-drifting?

A close shooting friend has a high-end 2011 ($6K+) that uses a sightblock design. Original front sight nearly slide out of its dovetail during a match. He sent the slide back to the manufacturer, and it was apparently repaired. He shot the gun in two practice sessions without problem, but in the first match after, it started sliding out again.

Would it be fair to expect the mfg to completely replace the sightblock at this point? A sight loose in a dovetail means too much material is gone from the slot. Wouldn't it be appropriate to expect the company to bend over backwards to rectify this?

Question about Classifier 18-05

Interesting issue at this weekend’s USPSA match. On classifier 18-05, they made me re-shoot it because they said that the printed Stage Procedure was unclear and I shot it wrong.

Here is the exact USPSA-printed Stage Procedure:

>From within box engage T1-T2 and P1-P4 or T3-T6 then perform a mandatory reload and engage remaining targets. Arrays may be engaged in any order

I read this as that you shoot T1-T2 and then had a choice of doing P1-P4 OR T3-T6 before the reload. The Match Director had decided that the procedure meant that you could do T1-T2 with P1-P4 OR just T3-T6 before reload.

Did I misinterpret the Stage Procedure?
