S2000 Type S (AP2)

Back in 1999, as an 11 year old kid, I remember sitting in the drivers seat of an AP1 S2000 at our local Honda dealership. Since then, I’ve been in love and still in love with the S2000.

Outputting 240HP from a 2.0L engine; it was the most horsepower/litre out of any production car at the time. Still a timeless classic in my eyes.

Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya’s 86s

Picked up Tsuchiya’s white and green 86 today, and thought I’d show off his N2 TRD Levin livery on Jon Sibal’s wide body 86 Corolla.

Honda S800

This 1968 Honda S800 was built and restored by Daniel Wu (actor), with a front diffuser, fender flares and a rear spoiler designed by Rocket Bunny’s Kei Miura. Named “Chinpira”, meaning “low-level gangster”, its name explains its inspiration.

I took these pictures in black and white, inspired by the time frame this car is trying to capture.

Student Driver x Simon’s Garage Collab - “LiShou” Wagon With Matching Engine Model (1:64/1:18)

For his first time participating in a Chinese modified car exhibition, Sung Kang wanted to create a special car that would leave a mark on the burgeoning local car modding scene. He teamed up with Guangdong-based Simon’s Garage starting with a locally produced, rather mundane, 1996 Yunbao YB6470 (Nissan Cedric Y30 wagon) transforming it into a beastly drift wagon packing 1000hp, wrapped in his signature Sunset Orange.

Sung named her LiShou after the ancient Chinese cat goddess with the number 78 coming from the Japanese idiom “nanokorobiyoki”, which translates to: fall seven times and stand up eight. Reminding us to persevere, work hard, and stand back up no matter how many setbacks and failures one encounters in life. A true restomod, LiShou represents the true embodiment of the Student Driver spirit.

Stop Motion Drifting My Collectibles

Downloaded a free stop-motion app on my phone and decided to try my hand at it. It’s much harder than I thought it’d be. I would appreciate feedback from anyone with stop-motion experience.

Parking Lot Car Spotting

The sun was providing some nice lighting for a photoshoot. Thought I’d bring out a few models in the collection and have some fun. Mostly Mini GT models, except for the Tarmac Lancer and Pop Race 400R

Chrome Display Model Suggestions

Thought about building a frame of chrome cars. Ideally, I’m working towards plain gold and silver chrome. So far, I’ve gathered all of my “metallic” models, and plan on replacing some of the matte gold cars. Any suggestions on other models that are solid chrome?

Turn 1 Instant Kill

Had my first experience just losing for no reason. I pulled a die roll terror card and took 5 damage with no reaction cards. Who takes a guard card on turn 1?! New strategy maybe?🤔

Edit: Misplay in my end. I thought the victims had to be in my space, but it could’ve been any on board. Thanks for clarification everyone! For what it’s worth, I still lost the next game.

Don’t Make A Sound Painted Minis

I really enjoyed painting this set, especially the sand worms. I wish I could’ve use real rocks for the basing, though. Either way, they make for really good sinkhole tokens.

The bulldozer was painted by a friend. They wanted to try their hand painting minis

1:64 Scale Campsite Diorama

Spring is here! I’ve decided to make a camping diorama for these Toyota 4Runners.

It’s my first time working with AK Terrain water foam effect. It was tricky working with it at first, but got a feel for it.
