A Tale of Two Alignments: When Rear Toe Doesn’t Stay Put
Here’s something strange I found during alignment.
Ran two alignments on my Accord Sport Hybrid two weeks apart and the “before” numbers came back completely different. Same car, same hardware, same shop — but the rear‑toe baselines were opposite.
Alignment #1 — Left‑rear toe way out of spec
Left‑rear toe was shoved hard into the positive. Thrust angle was off and the rear wasn’t tracking cleanly. Definitely needed correction.
Alignment #2 — Left‑rear toe swung the other direction
Two weeks later, the left‑rear toe was deep into the negative. Total rear toe flipped, thrust angle flipped with it.
Two alignments, two opposite baselines.
This mismatch points to a malformed bushing affecting the rear‑toe readings between visits.
Final alignment numbers — corrected for the mods and optimal performance — are posted for anyone who wants to compare both baselines and see the dialed‑in setup.
Full alignment sheets are linked below if you want to see both baselines and the final corrected setup. A Tale of Two Alignments: When Rear Toe Doesn’t Stay Put | Accord Sport Hybrid Forum
