This is just rage bait right?

I was playing meowdoku and this came up as an actual ad for a game. Is the joke that it's racist? I don't get it.

I paid quite a bit of money for a room (to relocate) after signing my conditional offer and filling out tax forms. Did I jump the gun? How do I make sure I keep the job?

Now, I'm just slightly stressed because I haven't done the physical fitness test yet and that paper had "pull-ups" written on it.

Anyway... I start orientation next week and this is a really good opportunity for me. Like... it's actually kinda on the nicer side for state prisons.

How do I get through the academy?

When is the fitness test?

What happens in orientation?

When do I actually become an officer?

What was your agency's fitness test and when was it?

Before academy? After the conditional offer?

I got my job offer but now I'm worried about the fitness exam. I'm going to score a 0 for pull-ups.

After getting hired, when is the fitness test for the push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, 1.5-mile run?

Is it on orientation day?

To give some background, as I was reading the sheet with the requirements the recruiter cut me off and said, "they train you on all of that." I probably should have revisited but I didn't. Will they train us on all of that?

I have a conditional offer and a start date. I'm excited but cautious.

I'm apparently approved but haven't received my final offer. I'm relocating for this job and I'm waiting to make my housing payment until I receive my final offer. (State prison)

How long do you think it will be? I called and confirmed yesterday. Should I just make the payment before I lose the room?

Which is honestly better for LE experience the state prison or the regional jail?

I was rejected for one but got the other. What's better merit-wise? Which one gets more opportunities, certifications, and experience?

Explain how to be assertive without being disrespectful. How do you tell someone to do something?

(women in corrections) I am a bit soft-spoken and smiley (according to some people)

I just got hired at the state prison

I didn't finish the application because I had changed my mind and I was looking for something else.

Is it strange they just offered it to me anyway? I'm honestly not trolling and this is real. I didn't apply all the way. They just offered it to me.

I'm a great applicant but this is a bit odd and there might be something to look into.

Help: I got the conditional offer today however...

I've been applying and applying to jails and I keep getting rejected, until now. This time I applied to a prison.

I might have put my foot in my mouth during the interview. Like... I interviewed really badly. He (lieutenant asked me, "what's a hard thing you've had to deal with at work?" I told him about an event where I clashed with my supervisor after seeing him hit a cement gatepost with our work vehicle and drive off. This resulted in me and another coworker reporting the incident that damaged the truck and the homeowner's property. Did I just introduce myself as a snitch who clashes at work?

He also asked if I might be interested in a leadership role. I said I would have to get to know the facility first and that I wouldn't be able to answer that in the first year

Next, the warden asked to speak with me over FaceTime after. Odd??? He did not request to speak to other applicants at the hiring event. He seemed to like me in our conversation and then they gave me the offer.

I'm a bit concerned. What if I rubbed the lieutenant the wrong way? Can I smooth things over. Or just keep applying?

Also, I have 2 degrees if my qualifications matter. I don't see it as overqualified. I see it as more qualified for LE.

A guy was fired for theft of traffic cones. I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever heard until I really thought about it...

Your thoughts?

They go for $30 a cone these days. He was listing $100 for 5. How do people think of this stuff? Selling a single cone would get me the same amount as working 2 hours 😔

He was making a lot of money though

Can I apply to a jail out of state?

I have a good feeling I can't get hired where I am.

The reason I'm looking at jails: I have 2 degrees and the only job I qualify for is traffic flagging (I work with a lot of people who are in and out of jail).

Anyway, I just want a job I can pay bills with. I got rejected from one jail (for slightly good reason) and now I'm looking into other options.

I also qualify for grocery store and other low paying positions but they aren't hiring. Important detail I left out: My university (VCU) actually just started offering a jailer internship and I might go back and pay some semesters just to get the credentials to be hired one day.

I didn't get the job at the jail as an officer.

I didn't get the job at the jail as an officer.

What can I do to make my application more competitive? For Any jail in VA.

More info:

I have a Homeland Security BA, a separate diploma, and have been accepted into a master's program.

I have a long record of jobs I've kept for short periods of time and am currently working as a traffic flagger.

I have no criminal record (not even a traffic ticket), don't drink, don't smoke, and passed a polygraph.

What might have been the disqualifying factor or the reason they went with someone else?

Edit: Nevermind, actually, I just reviewed my polygraph interview and my interview. I did very poorly.i was honest but... Wow, I guess I was nervous. So, yeah, I went in as a wacko.

During the polygraph interview I said 7/10 for "how truthful are you." And I admitted to lying in my personal life. Was I not supposed to be completely honest in my polygraph interview? Who never lies? I also said I was a horrible driver and admitted to having cut off a school bus on the highway while running a red light. (And then laughed-- I just be laughing when I'm nervous, apparently.)

When he asked, "do you drink" I said, "not really but I have snuck alcohol in my room before" and then he asked for clarification and I clarified that I did this as an adult. (My family is very religious)

I also admitted to having accidentally hit a car's mirror without stopping or noticing (and then laughed😔 and showed him a picture on my phone)

And then he asked about a past employer and it was a very left political organization. (A paid position... But still)

He asked do you discrimination because of race and I hesitated before saying, "No."

Now, the question is, do I have a chance at another jail?
