Strength in Every Step

Well, hi cute little lion cubs 🦁🧡

First of all, I bring something to share with you, and in this case it’s something quite impressive — the following video.

Moreover, despite the physical limitations of people who live with dwarfism, they can still find ways to practice certain activities, and of course, in this case, as we see, the Chinese lion dance.

This is truly one of the best examples that lion dance is not reserved only for people who have good equipment or strong physical condition, but also for those who genuinely wish to learn it and, above all, to spread it.

This situation also reminded me of another event I had seen: right on the date of Chinese New Year, a video appeared in which a member of a lion dance group had been injured. Even though he was injured and in a wheelchair, he was still able to participate in the New Year celebration, taking on the role of cymbal player.

In the end, it’s a great example of how lion dance can be practiced regardless of obstacles.

The important thing is being able to return

Trying to resume activity

To summarize, I'm working on a fairly important and large project related to the lion dance.

Now regarding the video

The damage was indeed extensive, but the restoration work was very good indeed.

Have you ever had to restore a lion that suffered severe damage?

How did they do it?

I read you little lion

Chinese Lion Dance Paintings (Huatunan)

Hello to all the little lions in the community, ❤️

Resuming activity, I was browsing Pinterest when the second image popped up.

I was impressed by the fact that it was a mural. So I did some deeper research and found out it was by the artist Huan Tunan.

This mural was created in the city of Taipei around mid-2015.

Even today, he continues producing different kinds of paintings.

I really love his style of portraying lions. Whenever I browse the internet looking for new drawings, most of what I find (aside from AI-generated ones) are generally works by beginners (not that I’m a master of drawing myself, but you get what I mean), or highlighted content from artofcai.

I’d like to know if that mural still exists, or if over time or due to the property owners it’s no longer there. If it does remain, it would be amazing to see it in person someday.

What do you all think?

I’ll be reading your thoughts, and here I leave you some of his featured Chinese lion artworks.

Chinese Lion Head in MInecraft

Hi everyone,

I apologize for my inactivity; I’ve been really busy, to be honest, but that doesn't matter right now.

You see, I was bored, so I decided to build a Chinese lion head.

I didn't want it to be huge, so I used the LEGO set in the last image as a reference.

It’s not exactly pretty, but at least something came out of it :P

I hope you like it—I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Note: I was thinking of replacing the red/yellow concrete with red/yellow tiles.

My Luffy tier list

I was bored so I decided to make my Laufey tier list. I started listening to it at the end of 2024 and she has become one of my favorite artists :p

A cautionary tale represents Jax and Ribbit

Since episode 9 has already been released, I can make this post (moderators, please don't take it down).

As we know, those of us who watched episode 9, the relationship between Ribbit and Jax at first was good, and because of Jax’s fear of showing himself vulnerable, he pushed Ribbit away in a very harsh way to the point that she abstracted herself.

The song begins talking about how the relationship was. Mentioning the phrase

"A first time for lovers, a first time in agony"

Whether they had some kind of romance or not, from my point of view both, at their best, showed quite a lot of chemistry.

And this is for the fans, the second line that the verse says is:

"The truths you will uncover will knock you on your knees"

Since knowing how Jax arrived at the circus is quite painful, personally I went through a situation similar to Jax but I didn’t get to the point of running away from home (currently my relationship with my mother is pleasant :p)

Continuing, the next verse Laufey comments on how vulnerable she became in the relationship and how she sacrificed herself for it

"My heart to you handed, you took it for granted, and made me the villain, all alone"

Technically this is what happens with Ribbit, she gave him trust after Jax opened up emotionally to her, but as we know Jax simply, to protect himself and not be seen as someone weak, changed his attitude and made her the villain (details in some of the dialogues he says to Kaufmo).

It makes me laugh and feel sorry because the next verse begins with

"I struggled through the winter"

Being here the event of the snowy mountain (sorry I don’t exactly remember the name of the scenario/adventure).

Now jumping to the next chorus we move on to the heaviest part of the song if we complement it with this. It begins like this:

"Oh, inside you, theres a guitless child who never saw his mother smile

A boy who had no sense of home, believe hes better off alone"

The next line says "who colis up in jealousy to mask his insecurities". In this case, in Jax instead of jealousy it would be his indifferent and defensive attitude that he takes.

"And i cant fix you, god, i tried"

Something that fits Ribbit well since in fact the only thing she wanted in the end was to at least remain on good terms with Jax, and in the best of situations become friends again.

The chorus repeats but with a more exhausted tone, ending with:

"One more lover fails, cautionary tales, continue to happen to me"

Technically this is how I think Ribbit could have felt in her last days before abstracting herself.

Anyway, I think I’m just still upset about episode 9. But now I can’t listen to the song without thinking about the relationship between these two.

Lion Dance Race

Link: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSQgCVPn7/

Hi community!

A few days ago I saw a Dragon Dance race sequence, ironically the algorithm worked in my favor and apparently there's a Lion Dance one too.

Are there any competitions like this outside of Vietnam?

Have they participated in or attempted to create a similar sequence?

At the same time, it reminds me of those competitions that dog training schools have. Slight parallelism

I read them

Good morning, afternoon, or night :p
