Windrose has NOTHING to do with sailing?!
I got Windrose and got 3 of my friends to buy it a few weeks ago. It's very well done and we are enjoying it BUT.... it seems to have nothing at all to do with sailing a boat. Despite it's name THERE IS NO WIND IN THE GAME! The boats just roar around at speeds resembing a fast motorboat and you steer them with no apparent relation to wind or waves. It would have been more accurate to call it speedboat or something.
I do hope that through the devs or mods it will some day matter what direction the wind is blowing and the boats can be throttled down to make ship combat something resembling an age of sail experience.

Speed of the Ships - no way to slow them down?
The default is more like dog fighting.

July 13 is right around the corner
Until then I don't understand how other clubs are busy signing players already.

Lawn Tractor Fun
I can't get my Craftsman with the 16 HP Kohler Tractor engine to start. It was also slightly funky as the engine would take a few clicks to get the rotor to start to spin. Now I get a single click sound when I turn the key. When my 12V car battery is idling and connected I still get just one quite click with each key turn. Therefor I don't think it's the battery. Maybe a dead spot on the starter motor? I disengaged the ide and moved it a few feet in each direction to move the starter position but with the same result (one click). A new starter is like $60 but I thought I would ask for any advice before I order that.
