Hello! We live in Washington, DC, zone 7b. A few years ago my friend’s redbud almost completely died but sprouted this smaller red bud bush looking treelet. It had been doing great until the last couple of days. it’s almost as if half of it has died? We recently had a late frost but it’s a tree so I’m not sure that would do it? Another note is the dogwood in the neighbor’s yard also looks to be struggling? No other plants seem to be affected nearby.
Any insight would be great! thank you so much!
ETA: the dogwood is visible behind the fence in the second picture.
