After purchasing the 2021 , we immediately began experiencing issues with the vehicle. The front dash speaker was not working, multiple dash warning lights were illuminated “like a Christmas tree,” the check engine light was on, and the vehicle was also hesitating while driving. The vehicle was then taken to the service department for repairs.
The dealership later informed us that the speaker and other issues had been repaired. However, when we picked the vehicle up, we discovered the front dash speaker was still not working because the speaker itself was completely missing. The vehicle had to be returned to the service department again.
After several more days in service, we picked the vehicle up again. On the drive home, we stopped to fill the gas tank and fuel immediately began pouring out underneath the vehicle. We were informed there was a loose fuel seal or related fuel system issue. The vehicle was returned to the service department once again for additional repairs.
After the fuel issue was supposedly repaired, we picked the vehicle up again. During the drive home, the entire front speaker system began cutting in and out intermittently. Because the audio issue was still unresolved, the vehicle had to be returned to service yet again.
After another stay in the service department, we picked the vehicle up and drove it home. The following morning, the dashboard warning lights were illuminated again exactly like before, including the check engine light, showing that the original issues had returned despite multiple repair attempts.
At this point we are completely done with this vehicle and honestly have no confidence in it anymore.
My question is: are we screwed out of the 10-day return policy because the vehicle has spent so much time in their service department? Has anyone dealt with something similar with CarMax? Would they typically work with us on a return or exchange in a situation like this? It honestly feels like we are being screwed with . The fact that they said the front speaker was fixed and was actually completely missing has completely lost our confidence with Carmax.
Edit 1: Currently sitting in the service department waiting room waiting on a sales manager.
Edit 2: They are letting us exchange for a different vehicle! This one seems to be every we wanted plus some so thank GOD!
Edit 3: Soooo they were preparing the car with a car wash aaaand the windshield cracked 🤣

I did 6 turns on each side and cut the tags as close as I could. Its length is about the same length of my pole, so about 7 feet. Probably a bit shorter. Im using 15lb braided with 10lbs flourocarbon. I tried doing the fg knot but i just couldn't get it and then I learned that due to the the diameters of my lines being nearly the same, it makes it difficult for an fg knot.
All help and criticism is appreciated!
Im not sure when to use a weight or not too and im not sure how im supposed to reel this in. Ive read and heard that shiner baits are a steady slow retrieve but im not entirely sure.
