This is a 2011 A-star Automatic that was purchased for my mother back in the day ( so she could pick me up from school 😄 )
More than my mother , this became my fathers favourite over the years. This was the only automatic in our house till 2024. The small size and automatic made it the perfect choice for my father on Delhi roads who hated the hard af clutch in the pajero during peak traffic.
While buying this car , it was quite hard finding an automatic A-star as not many showrooms keep them in inventory. Eventually we found one and also got the registration number 8686. The alloys here are 13 inches , removed from a white lancer that we had till 2013. Eventually by 2025 , we planned to sell this car as it was DL registered and would have costed a lot to get a state transfer and fitness renewed.
This is our 2009 Lancer , we own it since new. It looked fabulous and had a decent white interior ( first pic ) but developed minor imperfections over the course of 16 years.
So we decided to get a paint job and full interior overhaul cause why not make it new again. The process which we thought would take a month ended up taking more than half a year!
The power window scissors were basically dead , took almost a month just to find them , then paint itself was a long process as it was don ground up . Later , finding the alloys and then complete interior work from the floor mats to the roof liner including insulation and pioneer audio setup. Though all this was worth the wait. By the time we reached the final stages of this process , Supreme Court announced a temporary upliftment on the 15 year policy in NCR. We sent the car on a flatbed but came back driving it :)

I still remember how happy I was that day, we paid just 30k including an extra controller
As of 2026 , even after getting the PS5 , I still play more on my PS4 and PS3. The love for them remains unmatched 🙂↕️

So good to know this considering all the manufacturers are boycotting diesel engines
The only changes being the repaint and interior overhaul on both the cars and ofc , the LOVE which keeps on growing :)
