I was ten orders from getting a platinum pass when a bug caused me to slip into gold tier.

First of all, DoorDash sent me an email while I was driving that reads as follows:

"Hi _____,
We noticed you recently opened the DoorDash or Dasher app on a military base. To help you access more earning opportunities, we’ve marked you as eligible for on-base deliveries."

I drove nearby a military base. I never entered. I don't have a military ID. I always have military deliveries off in the setting. I will never join the military except if I'm drafted. I don't even know anyone in the military. And yet, without my knowledge or consent, DoorDash turned on the orders for me.

So I had an order just two days ago that was on base; the cashier asked, "can you get on base?" And I was surprised, and said no, remarked that's odd, and went to my car. I used the virtual agent chat feature to unassign without affecting my completion rate, and it worked perfectly, just like normal.

Today, I had an order in one location, and the GPS (I'm using google maps) took me thirty minutes north to another location. What the hell? Whatever, very frustrated, unassigned in a similar way, but I called instead of texting. Then later today, I saw that I had a gold offer. Gold?! When did my score go so low?!?! Both of the orders I've described, which were correctly omitted from my completion rate, appeared as incomplete, knocking me down two points from 76 total to 74 total.

I had 189 orders completed towards my platinum pass.

I called support, told them about the incorrectly labeled orders, and that the most important thing is the progress toward my platinum pass. The agent on the phone fixed the orders for me, putting me back in platinum, but I lost all 189 orders in progress. I thought, "hm, it shows dashes instead of numbers. Is that zero, or will it update my count after I complete an order?" So I did one order and checked. It said "199 orders remaining." So I went back to zero.

I was on the phone for about three hours on and off trying to get this resolved, and the best they can offer is that they'll have their higher level support team look at it and email me within 24-48 hours.

Needless to say, I've become quite exhausted with all of this headache. I'm this 🤏 fucking close to just calling it quits with DoorDash and only doing UberEats instead.

If they don't restore my number of orders toward the platinum pass, I might just go ahead and quit.

I love being the only moderator on this entire sub.

It's really cool to be completely unique in this way. I'll never let anyone else be a moderator!!!!! Only me!

If anyone says they're a mod: Nuh uh. Wrong.

PSA to anyone buying weed at vape shops: always, always, always read the lab report first!

This is crucial harm reduction information! Also, it helps you to know what you're buying so you don't get scammed and waste money!

I just got a vape today that's 2 grams. I figured there was some way to get around the 0.5g cap they just established on all hemp product vapes— there is, and it's bad: they put basically a research chemical in it which they call "Tetrahydromethylisopentyl-ethylcannabinol." It is impossible to know the structure of this chemical without more information than is given in the name, but it seems it may be "Euphorinol," or "EPN," a newer synthetic cannabinoid that's making the rounds in the federally-legal markets.

So there's:

- about 70mg of this tetrahydromethylisopentyl-ethylcannabinol,
- about 809mg of CBG,
- a tiny bit of CBC,
- some CBD,
- and a bunch of filler oil shit for the rest of the ~954mg.

The product is a Moon Bound brand 2g disposable.

I don't know if it's just the nocebo effect with me being scared of this highly unknown chemical in my body, or maybe the weather or some sickness I might have, but I feel a bit of a headache now. The filler oil stuff is also kinda harsh on the throat in a way that normal THC is not, which is actually surprising considering how nasty THC by itself can be lol

The new law is supposedly for the safety of Tennesseans: keeping synthetic cannabinoids off the shelves. But they have done exactly the opposite. YES, commercial delta-8-THC is always synthetic, but it's created from CBD, and it's at least a well researched cannabinoid that also acts very similarly to the even more well researched delta-9-THC.

Most notably, the new law bans THCA products, which were some of the lower-THC products available to consumers. Nothing about this new law is keeping people safe; this law only seeks to enrich alcohol lobbyists/companies/whomever makes a penny here. There's no reason we should have transferred the regulatory powers to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission when it was under the Department of Agriculture in a fantastic system we already established in 2023. We are now more like Georgia and these other majority Baptist, corporation-owned states.

It's extremely disappointing to feel almost like we're going back to the 2000s with spice/k2 on shelves, especially when we just had real flower available everywhere. I really hope we can figure something out, either at the state level, or federally... I don't see it happening anytime soon. Fuck Representative Lamberth. Fuck Representative Davis. Fuck Speaker Sexton. Fuck Senator Briggs. And most of all, fuck Bill Lee for pushing for this shit after the Dangerous Drug department was scared of delta-9-THC, taking THCA products, HEATING THEM UP, and *then* testing them for THC— well, that's not how anything works, so they had to change the law.

All to keep this dangerous reefer stuff away from people— that way, we lose all the sales tax revenue while all the stoners go to back to the black market or go to Illinois or Missouri to buy their weed. Fuckin' dickheads. Bring back THCA.

Fully legalize possession and use, growth or manufacture, sales, and transportation of marijuana and marijuana products! It's what the majority of Tennesseans want for Christ's sake!

You know, it's really awful to have to clean poop off of things. I hope no one ever has to do this.

Just imagine you have a trail cam set up to capture the wildlife, but some animal comes up and smears its own poop all over the lens! It's really in there, all in the crevices, and I have to really clean it out. Luckily, I can sequence its DNA from its droppings and find out exactly which animal did this so I can get justice.

If a human chose to do this, they could just pick up some dog's poop that's fresh enough to smear, and using a glove or plastic bag over their hand, push it all in the lens of a camera. How utterly shitty!

I really hope no one ever tries this. Whoever has to clean that poop off would have a really terrible time, because the price of a camera is actually worth the time and effort of cleaning it...

If I had to do this for a job?— man, I'd quit, or at least have some serious complaints about how I didn't sign up to clean feces out of cameras. It would be simply too much to ask for me.

Similarly nasty is when people put chewing gum in places it doesn't belong! But luckily, you can get their DNA from that, hooray! If someone could put something as gross and sticky as chewing gum somewhere important where it needed to be removed, and without any of their DNA in it, that would be truly devilish! Never put rotting food all over important items! It's just about as bad, if not worse than the poop! I'd say that rotting food is worse to clean up, actually.

Imagine if someone took rotting fruit or meat and jammed it all into the crevices of your trail camera's lens, then covered it up with tape... Sinister.

And never pour milk on anything you don't want smelling like rotting milk.

I don't have a military ID, yet I still got an order to a military base. I wasted half an hour on this order because DoorDash didn't have anyone with an ID dashing at the time.

So, the way I understand what happened is this: DoorDash very likely only has a tiny handful of military personnel who actually deliver at this base, and I would assume that none of them were delivering at the time, so they had to pick some random, normal civilian driver, like me. So, I should be paying more attention to where it is the delivery goes, but... Sometimes you just see the number of miles and the dollar amount, and in this situation, I was totally in the right to assume that I wouldn't get deliveries to a military base when I'm not eligible to deliver them.

The thing that I think is extra shitty is that there wasn't some warning attached to the offer. I would understand if there was a warning that said "You must obtain a pass for this delivery before entering the base." So anyway, I pulled up to the gate, rolled down my window, explained that I don't have a military ID, and was directed by another military police officer that I needed to go to a specific gate to acquire a pass for my delivery, then head back to enter. Between the explaining at the gate, the driving to get a pass, actually getting out of my car, going inside the building, giving the receptionist my ID, having my picture taken, and waiting for him to enter the information and print the pass; then getting back into my car, driving to a gate, and presenting my pass to then drive the remaining distance took about 25 minutes at least. This was a $14.67 offer. In total, this order took about one hour and ten minutes to complete: 5 minutes to get to the restaurant, 30 minutes to get to the military fortress, 25 minutes to get a pass, and 10 minutes of driving within the boundaries of the fort to get to the customer's house.

Now I have to be hyper-vigilant to check that an order does not deliver to a military base. 😐

iPadOS 14 or 18 for my 7th generation iPad?

I'm currently running iPadOS 14.4.2 with checkra1n and Sileo. I'm thinking about redoing it with Dopmine and Trollstore on the version it's on, but I'm also thinking about maybe just saving blobs and updating to the latest iPadOS (18.7.9) and using palera1n.

iPadOS 14 is barely usable as a mobile OS now, with webpages looking awful in every browser, most apps requiring a later version, and old versions of apps not working/losing functionality. I'd love to be able to actually use a web browser, but I like the way things are on version 14. I've actually got a device that can run Eneko (animated wallpapers), and it looks really nice. It only works on arm64 processors with iOS 14 or lower— no arm64e.

Is jailbroken iPadOS 18.7.9 any good? Is it worth losing the capabilities my device has now with all my tweaks?

Conjugate based on the SUBJECT FOR GOD'S SAKE

Just because "merchants" is plural doesn't mean that you have to change it to "are" from "is"! You're still talking about the singular subject, "it"!!! *It* is, and it *is* again. Not "it are."

I keep hearing and seeing this kind of mistake more and more, and I'm completely losing my mind over it.

One British punk decides he doesn't like America, so he defaces my artwork. There are American flags nearby to deface! My artwork is about the states and their individual flags, not about the United States government under Donald Trump. I just don't get it. Now I'm going to have to redo the parts that are scribbled on by hand because the mods just can't seem to get around to a trivial case like this.

https://wplace.live/?lat=39.801446439551334&lng=-99.72184570312501&zoom=13.216179368978457

Edit: after reporting for "hate speech" (I know I probably shouldn't though), they basically immediately responded and cleaned it up. I don't really wanna cry wolf and start a trend of people reporting griefing as hate speech, but it is worth noting that if you've been trying for a long time, this will probably work by getting their attention faster. I guess what I'm saying is this: use responsibly!

Edit 2: I'm thinking I'll make a big american flag right near it so that people are more likely to deface that instead of my nice little map. I wouldn't mind letting people get their frustrations out on the American flag.
