Hi all,

I recently got a pair of HD 505s for Christmas and just a few days ago bought a Schiit Magni Unity headphone amp to pair with it. I tried the headphones with the amplifier and I didn't notice much of any major sound difference between with and without the amplifier. I was hoping to get a much wider soundstage like the headphones that are used at the studio I practice at, but unfortunately it just didn't do much of anything—it still sounded very similar to the somewhat flat and bland sound of my Sony XM5s. What other upgrades could I make to my setup to bring out the full potential of my headphones? For reference, here is my current setup:

Turntable - Audio-Technica LP60X

Amplifier (connected to LP60X w/ built in phono preamp) - Schiit Magni Unity

Headphones - Sennheiser HD 505 Copper
