Am running BI6 withe TailScale. Is it better to just leave BI open in Windows or run it as a service. Most of the time I am viewing the cams through the BI mobile app or UI3. Mainly concerned about security but want to know the pros and cons of each.
Battery Health Results
8500 miles now. Was below when started. 96% was rhe result. At 100% charge 312 miles. At 80% was 251 or 252, can't recall exactly.
Previous to test was 91% health and 247 miles at 80%.
When I got the car end of Sep range was 262 miles..
The test relieved me of my fears that I got a lemon Fremont battery.
Oh I have the AWD model.
I drive the car hard on freeways with sudden accelerations and push it once I cross the apex of turns. And I speed when the freeway is empty. I wish rhe car handled better sometimes and am wondering if rhe Performance might have been a better fit for me. However, I couldn't wait at the time as needed an EV for my commutes.
Also other data, when I got the car I supercharged sometimes 3 times a week because I didn't know it was bad. I later went L2 but continued to DC but at our city's subsidized chargers because it was almost free and fast.
I think going forward I will try to charge to thr 55 percent range only and do so more frequently. Is that a good strategy? My work offers free L1 and I think spenjng 10 hours per day there should be enough?
My understanding is the Battery Health Test will take the battery down to 0% (after starting at 20% or lower) then charge the car up to 100%. 100% is when the test ends. Currently the upper bound for my charging is set at 80%. Do I need to change it to 100% or will the Test override that and charge to 100 anyway? Finally does the test actually harm the battery?
When parking mode activates, are we supposed to get an audio notification?
I put a recorder in my car, left and came back later. I was expecting to hear parking mode activated but did not.
I did hear 3 channel started when I reentered the car.
Is this normal? The cam light was on so the cam was definitely on when the car parked.
At 8200 miles now and my range at 80% charge is 247 (was 248 last week). When new it was 262. Battery health at 92%. Was 93% a few weeks ago. Am concerned!
A329s Thermal Shutdown. This has been a persistent problem with my camera during very warm weather. Not that summer is here, the situation is worse to the point where I can't rely on the cam. Viofo's sites says the op temp is up to 65C, which is 149F. My cam shuts down before 149, sometimes around120F if the car is sitting out there for hours. I have a Tesla and it can show me interior and exterior temps. Of course the cam, might be even hotter as the cam is mounted on the front windshield. I am using the appropriate BP 100 cable to power the cam and it is set on low bitrate mode.
Does anyone else experience this?
