Our Soul Pup - Angus

We lost our very good boy unexpectedly on Saturday evening to hemangiosarcoma. He was 10.

While researching this devastating cancer, I came across the Flat-Coated Retriever. We always knew he was a mix, but we never knew his true heritage. Finding this community and seeing all of your gorgeous pups full of devotion, intelligence, and unconditional love has brought a small bit of comfort to this overwhelming grief. These guys are truly a blessing. Angus was, without a doubt, the best dog I ever had the pleasure of sharing life with.

SOS: ID & Advice?

EDIT: Solved! Non-Toxic Russula. A sincere thank you to all of the experts who contributed towards the ID. My toddler has an independent mind of his own, and I call him my lightning in a bottle. It is very difficult to stay calm and on my toes 24hrs a day, especially when I find out he nibbled on a wild mushroom. All of your input helped ease my anxiety. I'm going to start researching our PA wild mushrooms ✨️

Location: NW Pennsylvania, adjacent to a small pond.

Toddler son took a bite and immediately spit it out about 30mins ago. We do not believe he ingested any pieces. He threw the mushroom in the pond. This is another one. Hoping for an ID and advice on what to do.

Child's demeanor hasn't changed and is not acting unusual. He is 2.5 and isn't fully adept with language. I asked if he is sick or feels funny, he said no and continues to play.

What in the... red money piece?

I'm a faux redhead over a natural dark blonde.

This time, I did a remover first, then used Ion 8rc + Ion 20v all over. Roots front to back first, then mids and ends, processed all for 30mins after final application. Remover didnt touch virgin roots last night, just what I had previously dyed.

Any ideas why the very front root went Ariel red?
