For those who genuinely believe in a religion or spiritual worldview:
If you could somehow put aside where you were born, how you were raised, what your family/community taught you, and everything you were originally told to believe. What personally convinces you that your understanding of God, spirituality, and reality is actually true? What evidence, reasoning, or experiences led you there, and how do you distinguish a genuine spiritual experience or divine guidance from coincidence, psychology, cultural conditioning, or your own mind interpreting things through beliefs you already have? If you had been born into a completely different religion and were just as convinced that it was the truth, what do you think could have led you independently to the beliefs you hold now? And most importantly, is there anything you could discover that would genuinely convince you that your current beliefs are wrong—and if not, how do you distinguish an unfalsifiable belief from something that is actually true?
