If we ever needed a reminder that to kick on we need a world class striker

In so many games where it's close, it's just a cheat code to win a match.

We need to break the bank with all the money we earned last season on a truly world class centre forward.

If we did, we'd win everything.

Like City did with Haaland.

Annoying problem, cobwebs down my car mirrors every couple of days!

Wondering if anyone has a solution for this problem?

I'll get a set of cobwebs from my external car mirrors which go down the car, remove them and then they're back again a couple of days later! Weirdly (or not, perhaps) it happened with my previous car as well!

Does anyone have any advice on how I can stop this from happening?

Suggestions for memorabilia, souvenirs or mementos of this seasons Premier League win?

I'm in the look out for any good suggestions for memento's of this historic season - I've got the usual like the Champions 26 Arsenal shirt with the golden Premier League patch, some programmes from some of last seasons I managed to attend and even bought a Premier League winners medal.

But I was just wondering if anyone else bought themselves any cool or unusual memorabilia to commemorate last seasons achievements?

I would probably like to have something nice to hang on the wall as well!

Another stupid question! This time about the service intervals

Some of you may know that I bought my first ever Porsche a few weeks ago, a Porsche Cayman 981 - and I am absolutely loving it! I use it as a daily and every time I'm in it I'm so happy!

I know that there's a service indictor on the dashboard, does this tell me when I need to have an oil service, minor service, major service, PDK service, etc. or just some of these?

And if it doesn't tell me when I need to do each of the services, am I just best off keeping a spreadsheet of when certain ones have been done and keep track that way! Just don't want to miss a service really!

Air conditioning makes a "hissing" sound - best to take to Porsche Specialist or a garage that does air conditioning?

The 981 I've got has developed this hissing noise whenever the A/C is turned on so had a couple of questions - what do you think this could be and is it best to take it to a Porsche Specialist or will any garage that deals with a/c issues do the job?

Apologies for the stupid question, just want to be prepared!

So you'll probably know with the number of posts coming from me I've recently bought a 981 Cayman, and a week on I couldn't be happier!

But I just wanted to make sure I'm prepared the best I can. I know when you open the boot / trunk the left cap on the photo is the coolant, and the right one is the engine oil.

I just wanted to know (a) which is the best coolant and engine oil I should use (want to make sure I use the best) and (b) how often am I realistically going to need to 'top them up', or will these be topped up when I get the car serviced?

Also, any tips on other things it would be worth buying just in case something else on the car needs topping up, or addressing in general ownership terms?

Thanks in advance!

Porsche Cayman 981 - Phone Holder Solutions?

Can anyone recommend (with photographs ideally) and good phone holder solutions? I've got an iPhone 17 Pro Max if that helps!

Thanks in advance!

Stretching with Martinez but it's doable!

Most infuriating driver behaviour?

For me it's when you're at a big, busy roundabout waiting to enter and the car that is coming from the junction to your right, doesn't indicate and turns left, meaning if they actually weren't a Grade A C*unt and indicated like they should have done, you could have entered said roundabout.

Can anyone help me find the clip / feature on YouTube?

Probably getting senile in my old age but looking for a clip from Classic Top Gear where Jeremy was reviewing a car which he basically used to drive to see his father who was passing and it was so good and so fast he managed to make it there before he died.

Worst drivers in the UK at the moment? Tesla drivers

In the UK BMW drivers, Audi drivers and others have had the reputation of being the worst drivers on the road but today it has to be Tesla drivers.

Honestly I'm out every day and see Tesla drivers that don't indicate, cut people up or pull out of a junction in front of you!

Never driven one, but am I missing something? Are they so fully loaded with technology and computers that people who drive one forget the basics of driving?

Has anyone "replaced" their Porsche Cayman key?

I've got 2 keys with my Cayman but they have seen better days (they're battered, basically) and the OCD in me can't stand it!

I've seen some "replacement shells" on Amazon for pretty cheap and wondered if anyone has successfully done this or had problems attempting it?

And are they good quality? Thanks in advance!

2014 Porsche Cayman due PDK service, Porsche Center says they will only be replacing the fluid, is this right?

I bought a 2014 Porsche Cayman with 60k and it was due a PDK service so the owner said he would get it sorted or knock off money off the price so we could complete the purchase earlier.

They already did the full service (have invoices to prove it) but didn't get the PDK service done.

I've just got an official Porsche Dealership to quote for the work and they said they would be replacing the fluid, not the filter.

Perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick (quite possible) from using Google and Chat GTP, but they seem to think the filter should be changed for a PDK service?

Can someone far more knowledgeable about these cars (not very difficult!) help me with this?

How to replace battery in key, and which type of battery is it?

Recently bought a 2014 Porsche Cayman and it came with 2 keys but one of them has stopped working (works if I use it to turn the car on but none of the buttons work).

Just wondered how to change the battery in the fob and which batteries I’ll need to buy?

Finally bought my first Porsche Cayman! Any tips and tricks - very new to this experience!

I've posted on this sub a lot, asking a lot of questions about buying a Porsche Cayman and every time everyone has been so helpful, so thank you for that.

So I finally bought my first ever Porsche Cayman yesterday, and ended up going for the 981 (and will get some photos of it up soon!).

And I couldn't be happier! Honestly you dream of getting a car like this and you think that you might end up disappointed because of the expectations - but I can honestly say driving it for the past 2 days has been absolutely awesome and I'm so glad I ended up pulling the trigger!

But just wanted to know if anyone could help a newbie out with some basic tips and tricks I might not know about? Or perhaps things I should look out for, or perhaps buy that will help my over experience! I am not hugely knowledgeable about cars to be quite honest!

Thanks once again, in advance! ❤️

Cheapest place to book a short European break?

Apologies if this is a stupid question! But due to personal circumstances I haven’t been on holiday for about 5 years now and back then I used to use Expedia for all holiday bookings as I found they were the best value.

I’m just wondering if anyone could recommend any other providers, and where I might be able to get the best prices?

Thanks in advance ❤️

Thoughts on last night, the morning after

Yesterday was painful as f*ck because we were so close. And after the season the team have had, we deserved it. We won the toughest league in the world, having to fight in every single game we've played domestically and in Europe, whereas PSG basically rested their entire team for half of the season, strolled to Ligue 1 and only had certain CL games to win. The odds were stacked against us but we almost pulled off the impossible when no-one gave us a chance.

We clearly leaned into our defensive structure and solidity, which made perfect sense because every team that's had a go at PSG has got absolutely battered. So the argument (mainly from Arsenal haters) that we "didn't have a go" are moronic. Why would be play open when they have the best attack in the world?

Given how good PSG are, all the shots they had and all the possession, they needed a penalty to actually score. That is something we can be proud of.

We could have and probably should have got over the line, but for me the following made a big difference.

  • The referee. He was shockingly bad, giving every 50/50 to PSG. People argue this doesn't matter but over the course of a whole game it makes a massive difference. The players are penalised for every challenge, and they're trying to play a game where they know they won't get decisions. I forgot how many times we were attacking, our player was fouled only for the referee to wave play on which resulted in PSG having a counter attack. It was clear he favoured PSG and you won't convince me otherwise.
  • Decisions. How many times have you seen a team get a corner and then the referee blow the whistle for half time / full time? That was absolutely ridiculous. And I can't even believe there is a debate about the Madueke penalty. The defender got the wrong side of the player and took him down. I've seen those given every single day of the week. You can argue it was "clever" from Madueke and he tried to buy a penalty - but it doesn't take away from the fact it was a penalty. The fact the referee didn't even entertain it was proof enough about his bias. If that is in our box PSG get that, 100%.
  • I'm not going to say anything about the Gabriel penalty because he's one of the main reasons we've won the Premier League and got to the CL, and it took balls for him to step up given other attackers and midfielders clearly didn't want to. But the Eze one still haunts me. We've seen that he did that same run up and shuffle at Crystal Palace and missed penalties, so to see him do it again when the stakes were so high is absolutely devastating and infuriating. In a game of fine margins, you need to just get it into the back of the net. He strikes the ball so well, which makes it even worse. In a penalty shootout, the best you can hope for is that your keeper saves one, meaning it's in your hands and if you score all of yours, you win (which we've done in previous penalty shootouts). Raya did his job but Eze didn't do his. Not scoring that was a killer and if he scores it then Gabriel wins it with his penalty. The fact that their keeper didn't even save a single penalty and Raya did save one really hurts.
  • No luck. You need luck to win things and we didn't get any at all last night. We had the penalty decision and then when we got to penalties we somehow managed to lose both coin tosses, meaning we had to shoot into the PSG end and even worse not take the first penalty. Both things which give teams a massive advantage going into a penalty shootout. And so it proved.

I love Eze man but why does he have to take penalties like this? 😩

It doesn't work so why did he try this tonight 😭
