I'll also take this chance to say some stuff. Nothing new which some others haven't already said, I too grew up half my life with this mod and despite everything, i firmly believe it is the greatest mod in gaming history.

Whether it continues after this devastating hit I don't know, but what I do wanna do is suggest what to do if this mod does survive. Please, devs, DO NOT beat around the bush any longer. I know your roadmap of the mod includes a lot of stuff you still have yet to do before the finale, but given the history of this mod, it's not off the table that another controversy may come, and I'm afraid I don't think it will be able to survive that (if it even survives this). So please, get Yharim and other essential content of your vision over with first. Of course, it is YOUR non profit mod we're all playing, you reserve the ultimate right for your vision, and even if the mod ceases development right now then I believe even it's current state is good enough for a polished content mod experience. That being said, whether you like it or not, the wait of a whole generation of people DOES ride on your shoulders in the form of Yharim. This all is of course given the team actually survives this.

Thank you to anyone who read the whole thing. I hope this mod is able to become the best thing it can be.

Given the theme of the chapter it's not much of a surprise

Both scourges should be the same type of boss, I've seen people begin to call it "reptilian" which works. Though the AS' design should obv be different enough to show it more lifelike yet more grotesque swimming in the sulphurous sea (Original pic and concept art)

For the perforators i feel like being worms is perfect. A disgusting bundle of flesh and pus worms coming out of a fleshy mass fits. Also i wouldn't want it to lose it's original concept of "EoW but crimson". I'd just say give the emergence of the worms more visual and dramatic flair to genuinely gross out players (concept art)

Astrum Deus is interesting because he's the only who's design I believe can be almost completely reworked into being nothing like a worm boss and still not affect it's lore concept. It's also relatively unimposing for essentially the final boss of the Astral Infection. My concept is super super generic and ugly but you get the point, it should be big and imposing like leviathan, humanoid or not (concept art)

Storm Weaver is the same family as DoG, so i feel like it's fine to keep it a worm, just revamped aesthetics to fit the new DoG. (no art)

I've said this before in another post but I would prefer if the DoG stays a worm though, it is THE iconic terraria worm boss, I’d say more so than even the EoW and Destroyer. The only upgrade it needs is the eventual rework into the Distortion. (concept art)

Thanatos is meant to be a final destroyer upgrade so it probably can't stray too far from worm. Then again, Ares takes some amount of creative liberty away from S and S Prime so the same could be said for Thanatos (no art)

The Sepulcher is already partway thematically a spider, this can be done the whole way and turn it into an actual spider instead of a segmented one. Since it doesn't do contact anyway, i feel like it would be cool for it to be a stationary spider in the centre, spreading out a web over the box and spitting brimstone darts from the center with the hearts being around instead of all above. Finally, the Wyrms fit thematically as they're dominating monster of the depths and worms/eels work fine. (no art)
