Front brakes 2nd generation. Possibly 1st generation as well.
Something that some 2nd gen owners do not realize- the non-turbo versions have single piston calipers on the front.... the turbo versions have twin piston calipers...
The rotor is also larger on the turbo.
It's not going to be the improvement of a BBK, but it will be an improvement.
The hubs are the same FWD to AWD. However, the caliper brackets are specific to turbo or non-turbo caliper. This means that you should have no problem bolting up a turbo caliper onto an originally non-turbo hub.
Do your due diligence. Double check the hub is the same for your year, turbo vs non. Double-check the mounting bracket, which MIGHT come in some rebuilt calipers.
Mazda did the same thing on the Speed6 vs non-Speed. The Speed used the reg 6 caliper but with a larger diameter rotor. You could swap the fronts to Speed brakes by bolting on the Speed bracket and Speed rotor.
